hi this is a very weird request but can you please recommend some music because some of my (current) favourite songs have come from videos you've shared on this blog lol. idk I guess Chinese douyin uses absolutely fire tracks but I was wondering if you know any playlists, particularly with electronic or techno type music that's popular in China?
Hmmm I have pretty bad taste in music so I don't think it would be that helpful lol. I have a #music tag and there's an old youtube playlist (haven't updated it in a long time) linked in my pinned post.
I don't know what's popular right now specifically but when I think of techno and electronic, tbh, all I think about are those 广场舞 remixes 😂 They're usually songs that already exist that are basically club mixes used for public square dancing. (Equivalent would be like zumba remixes probably). They will use trendy douyin remixes, too.
Here's an example playlist. If that's what you mean, you can just search up something like "广场舞歌曲" (public square dancing music). They'll usually list the tracks used, altho it might be hard to track down the specific remix. You can take the title of songs and add “DJ版" (DJ version) or "douyin版/抖音版" (douyin version) to try and find it on youtube. You can also download from bilibili with browser extensions like B站下载助手 (that's what I use).
