Three years have flown by in a blink of an eye since we last heard from Sample Answer, a London based alt artist we were so excited about that we premiered one of of his earliest releases with endless gusto. While those songs seem to have since vanished from Sample Answer’s Soundcloud, the South-African-Irish artist has returned with a brand new single named Fever, giving us a redux of his expert melding of classic pop songwriting and hip hop imbued storytelling. He’s created the perfect soundtrack for a lazy Sunday morning with his gravelly drawl and his laid back song, on which he welds his multi-instrumental skills with effortless ease next to long-time producer Hugh Fothergrill on the drum kit. 

“The song is a way for me to talk to my friends and anyone out there struggling with addiction,” reveals the artist about the subject behind his new effort, “it's hard to help unless they decide to stop, you will feel as powerless as them during the process.” Struggling with his own addictive personality, Sample Answer reveals; “I struggled with love and sex addiction, I needed and wanted to be in love.” Stream/download Fever, here.
