I continued this sample with adding brushos to dye the denim creating a uv scan effect, adding colourful tones to add the finish touches.
Although the shape doesn’t show what it is because of the overcrowding textures, I had hand stitched around the sedges so they all stand up to show more of the shape. Half of the brain.
Overall I think this sample is as a success but it isn’t showing really my theme clearly due to the thick textures.
For this sample I developed, I first cut pieces of different denim in rectangles then sewn them on half way.Placing them closely to each other will create a fully 3D effect to give the texture liek the brain.
This semester, I’m on my Erasmus exchange to the TU Delft. The chair of Interiors Buildings Cities, lead by Daniel Rosbottom (DRDH Architects) is characterised particularly by careful studying of the context and it’s materials, these are the samples of the pavements we did to find the right method for our site model in 1:33
BFA Textiles samples I showed Year 10 this week.
Been spending the last few days cutting, sewing, cutting, sewing. This weekend we will be at the Urban Air Market in Hayes Valley, and the week after in Unique LA. What's the best part? We’re suppose to get great weather throughout the entire week! Can’t wait to see everybody!
