Donāt have time to make anything substantial, so have some headcanons Iāve tossed around in my noggin (mostly of a younger Samson and when he is in training to be a templar :ā) )
Young Samson growing up on a horse farm where his father breeds horses and his mother tends to the house and happily explores the nearby woods with her son to sate his curiosity. On rainy days the house is filled with the scent of fish and egg pie.
Young Samson taking care of the stray cats and dogs that wander by his home. His parents wonder why he doesnāt eat all of his supper and runs off with it outside, but when they figure it out they help him care for the strays.
Young Samson (maybe 7 or 8 years old) losing his parents to bandits and having to flee as the farm burned down behind him. For days he canāt sleep as his mother crying āRaleigh, run!ā still rings in the back of his head.
Young Samson found outside of Starkhaven by a kind Templar who takes him to the Chantry in the city where the boy gets his first good meal in days. No one is able to get a name out of the boy however.
Samson growing up in the Chantry as a kind-hearted boy who looks out for the younger kids, but spends a lot of time getting into trouble with the sisters. But hey, somebody has to sneak into the larder and get some cookies for those newly arrived kids.
Samson having to say goodbye to the younger kids who donāt want him to leave when he turns 13 and is chosen to become a Templar in Kirkwall. He is excited at the prospect and hopes to do good by the Mages, but Maker is he going to miss teaching those kids new games.
Samson being an annoying pain in Templar Meredith Stannardās side, but she canāt do a thing about it since the recruit is on Knight-Commander Guylianās good side.Ā
Samson horrified after witnessing a failed Harrowing. Many call the test necessary, but when he hears a mageās thoughts on it he can understand why they see it as a possible death sentence.
