A diverse genus of flowering trees and shrubs that are some 700-species strong. The inking is done on what I'm coining 'The Brian Commission'. A week or so ago I was given artistic freedom to capture Brian's character by one helluva guy @tweeweasel...who is a true patron of modern bird art. I'm as honored as Brian is to be included in his high calibre collection of avian art. -- If you're not too sure who Brian is, you're welcome to check out his humble instagram account: @brianthehoneyeater. He's Australian, he likes honey and is as old as the trees. -- Tomorrow I'll be launching pre-orders for a coloured version of this illustration. I'll show you in the morning.
