I was rendering Sam on the spicy jamuel piece I’m working on and at some point couldn’t figure out his face so I did a quick sketch…. that turned into an entire thing 😐
Initially I planned an art for Day 7 with all of Sam's family (aka Sara, Jehuda and John) hugging him upon his return to Kolin, but on my way home from work I had a ✨vision✨ of this exact pose
I never draw kisses, and I thought I wouldn't be able to do the pose properly, but I'm really happy with the result and proud of myself 💖
And yes, this is the art I accidentally deleted 🫠 saved only by my habit to send finished arts to myself so that I can have them on my phone
(or, because i am forever enamored of these characters & their inherent link to linguistic relativity & @/shmuel-ben-sarah-kcd2 taught me that the hebrew word for love is so closely linked to the word for give and this has lived within me)
John certainly is into body worshipping. The way he is looking at (partly) naked Samuel, with such admiration and devotion in his eyes. The way how he kisses and touches him all over, and sometimes it takes too much time and Samuel begins to lose his patience, and sometimes it makes him kinda shy just because.
I'm thinking about their reunite after Suchdol. Samuel doesn't feel good, he is after this siege, he was tortured, but he's so desperate for John's passionate and tender love. The best way to celebrate that you're still alive is to make love.
And it will be the time when John is especially cautious and tender. I imagine how he suddenly touches the painful spot (well, I bet Samuel has some of his ribs broken) and immediately recoils, saying they should pause their activities and just cuddle instead. But Samuel missed him so much, he says something like that: "I'm not fragile, I'm not gonna crumble because you've touched me!"
But John *will* treat him as a precious treasure. Let Samuel just lie and having pleasure.
And by that I mean John will please him with his mouth and ride him.
