Hey there! I just wanted to thank you for writing the Drift series you have the Samurai Code. I read it a lot and honestly it really speaks to me especially Drift’s inner dialogue. I just wanted to say that I appreciate the work you put in. Do you plan to continue the story or let it go?
It’s still ongoing- I just get easily distracted and have a lot of ongoing storylines xD
The Samurai Code Pt 16
Drift x Reader
• At some point the two of you had fallen asleep. Or whatever passes for sleep with him. You wake up to find yourself curled on your side, knees drawn up because his legs are bent slightly behind your own as he spoons you, an arm tossed across you. And it’s embarrassingly intimate with him draped against your back, making you very aware of him. Of his big hand gripping yours, the heat of his frame. But it feels right. Like this is where you’re supposed to be. You wonder if it’s the bond. If you’ll be able to trust how you feel about him at all or if it’ll be influenced by that partial bond.
• Feeling you shift against him, he rumbles and rests his chin on top of your head. Realizing slowly that there were no nightmares. That he’d recharged without any dreams at all. How long has it been since he’s come online feeling so relaxed? Servos lazily playing with your fingers, he lets your weak field spill into him. Knows this isn’t his, that you’re not his, but he wants to enjoy the sense of connection. The feeling that someone needs him. “Hungry?” He asks, venting to pull your scent deep and knowing it’s going to cling to him.
• For those gritty nutrient bars? No. But you know you have to eat something. “Five more minutes?” You ask and he shifts at your back, his presence solid and comforting. That low rumbling of his sinks into you until it’s hard to stay awake. Know a big part of it is probably how weak you still are. That even after he’d bonded you, you’re not back to normal. His servos smooth against your palm and a lonely ache lifts through you. How long has it been since someone’s held you like this? Even aware that you need to discourage him, a part of you just wants to be allowed to have this. To play pretend with him.
• Has no idea how long your units of time are, but doesn’t argue. Mostly because he’s enjoying the soft warmth of you in his arms. That he’s never recharged with someone like this before you. Most of his life prior to the Decepticons spent alone. Spent hungry and desperate. Had learned quickly to trust no one, to lash out first. To take what he could. Had only gotten worse after joining the Decepticons. More violent, his temper shorter. Holding you like this feels like it’s going to make him come apart at the seams.
• Feel his arm tighten around you, his face against the back of your shoulder. Hanging onto you like you’re the only thing keeping him afloat. Like you’re his lifeline when it’s the other way around. A memory lifts through you. Those angry eyes watching other Cybertronians pass him by, going out of their way to avoid looking at him. Like his hunger and desperation might be contagious. Feeling the memory of his urge to scream at them to look at him echo through you and you’re clinging to his arm as your eyes burn with a memory that isn’t even yours, but still hurts so viscerally as the two of you huddle tighter against each other.
Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf — A Fighter’s Review
Garouden isn’t your average tournament anime. It’s not Baki, it’s not Kengan Ashura, and it’s definitely not a style-over-substance combat parade. It’s raw, deliberate, emotionally loaded martial arts storytelling built for people who’ve actually fought, or at the very least understand what it means to fight. The first season, released on Netflix, is a flawed but deeply honest exploration of…
"You see, Masamune is praised as the greatest sword maker in japan because he made a sword that could not hurt the innocent. But see, in my opinion that actually makes him a lousy sword smith. See, in taking away the wielders ability to choose who he spares and who he kills, he denies them the chance to show their true colors. A man who has a weapon that cannot kill the innocent will not develop the discipline it takes to measure his attacks. To take careful aim, he can just swing it around as much as he likes and only the 'bad people' get hurt. But what happens once he loses that sword and once again picks up a blade that does not discern between a good person or a bad person? He will not have the discipline to use it carefully because before he had a barrier to protect others from his lack of skill."
~Daigo upon finding a Muramasa sword during a heist at a museum.
Why are you nervous about Sol and Nagoriyuki? I think it would be cool to see those two fight XD
I predicted that it may happen somehow.
I don’t know why Nagoriyuki would call Sol a monster, but something tells me it might be something personal.
Now, I do want to see how Nago would stack up against someone as strong as Sol. I don’t think however that Nagoriyuki is as strong as Slayer (or perhaps experienced), but I find his fighting style very fluid and fun to watch.
But the fangirl in me is afraid of the possibility Nagoriyuki dying in a all out fight against Sol. Given that he is a samurai and isn’t afraid of dying on the battlefield---lord, I just hope Nagoriyuki isn’t putting himself in mortal danger.
I know the game and story mode isn’t out yet, but I’ve already grown attached to this character and even more so while playing the beta!
