san stays right where he is even moments after you’ve both come down from your own highs; arms on either side of you, staring as you try to catch your breath beneath him. you slowly unhook your legs from his torso, groaning as you finally feel the soreness of your muscles. finally, he crawls off of you, but he doesn’t take his place on the bed next to you. your eyes follow him as he rolls off the bed and disappears out of the room. 

the moments you spend alone make you realize how exhausted you were—struggling to even keep your eyes open for a few minutes. you’re too tired to bother finding out where he went so you let yourself give in and shut your eyes.

“hey, can you stand?”

your eyes flutter open as soon as you hear san’s voice. he stood at the edge of the bed, half-dressed and waiting for your response. you nod as you attempt to pull yourself up. but you fail miserably, groaning at the searing pain on your lower abdomen. san chuckles at your struggle and it earns him a glare from you. 

“alright, come on,” he says before hoisting you up, one arm hooked beneath your legs and the other around your upper body. 

you wrap your arms around his neck as he walks out the bedroom and into the bathroom.

“it’s warm, don’t worry,” san whispers before setting you down in the tub. the water was indeed warm, just the way you liked it—but you’re unsure if you told him about this. maybe he just knew. it felt soothing to your muscles. you wanted to sink into the tub but you feel the water stir. 

you turn your head and see san sitting right behind you. “don’t mind me,” he says, “lean back.” and you do, letting the water surround you completely for a few moments before you sit back up again. you feel san run a hand through your hair, coating it with fragrant shampoo as he goes along. then he backtracks to massage your scalp. and if he didn’t stop any sooner, you would’ve fallen asleep right there.

san cups a handful of bathwater and lets it run down your back. you look back at him as he starts massaging your shoulders, hands coated and soapy, cleaning you up as he went. he traces figures on your skin as he massages your aching muscles and it surprises you how gentle he could be.

and it felt nice. 

you weren’t new to one night stands but you were sure new to being treated this well afterwards. after sex, you’d just spend the night at their place but you’ll be gone before the sun rose the next morning. heck, you’d had your fair share of relationships but none of your previous boyfriends ever treated you this well.

so when san treats you like a princess after fucking the daylight out of you, it sets the butterflies in your stomach about. ridiculous, you think.

“you do this to everyone you sleep with?” you ask.

“no,” he says, finishing scrubbing your back before continuing his sentence, “just you.”

suddenly, staying ‘til the morning didn’t seem as bad as it used to. you try hard not to smile and you try your best to disregard the stirring in your stomach. and you started to think that maybe being stuck in quarantine with the guy in 1117—the only other occupied apartment on your floor—wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be.

[11:27 p.m] The view was nice, the park was practically alone but you didn't mind at all, your eyes met him once again.

It was the third time he would run behind a little dog screaming how cute was it, you laughed as you stand up walking towards him. Your hand reached his forearm and caressed the surface gently dragging his attention to you.

"Time to go." You said looking at his sparkly eyes, a pout formed on his lips and you looked away knowing what he was trying to do. "No, San... We've been here for three hours, doggies are tired too."

"But I-... Fine..." A sigh left his mouth and he quickly wrapped one of his arms around your shoulders, yours took his waist and you chuckled at his -still- excited eyes watching the little birds flying away.

"Do you think they see us when flying?" You looked up at his question and nodded slowly.

"But they are more interested in their way." Your fingers caressed the fabric of his jacket trying to warm him just a little. Winter walks were your favorite things to do with San when holidays came round the corner, watching his nose get the peachy tone because of the cold air, watching him sleeping the time he needed to. Winter was your absolute favorite season.

"Like I am in mine." You heard him as he was looking at you, you couldn't help but bust into a little giggle, cheeks getting red and you hid your face on your scarf the most you could.

"Cheesy..." You whispered in response knowing he had heard well. His arm pressed you against his body and you did as well with yours, he left a soft kiss on your forehead and you snuggled on to his touch a few seconds.

"Can we drink coffee and cuddle when we get home?" Your voice hit a tone a little higher, it was one of his weakness and you could get almost anything if you wanted to.

"How could I deny you something?" Your smile grew wider and you left a slight kiss on his cheek. "San is the best boyfriend!" You complimented him happily and the both of you followed your way to the appartment you shared.
