Sanctuary Stories Announcement

Casey (@toethefinishline) and I are bringing you all a really awesome project. We’ve been working on it for the past few months, but now it’s almost ready and I’m so excited for everyone to see it! Sanctuary Stories is a project with the goal of telling the stories of the animals who survived the animal agriculture systems and made it to sanctuaries. These animals have truly amazing stories, and I hope everyone enjoys reading them as much as we have. The more subtle goal of the project is to reach a large number of people and show them the horrors of animal agriculture- preparing them to go vegan. Because of that, we’re going to need all of your help to get these stories and pictures out to the general population.

Starting next week, every Wednesday we’ll be releasing new stories from different sanctuaries all over the world! We’re launching a new Tumblr blog to do this, as well as Facebook and Instagram pages. I’ll be sure to let you all know when we launch next week, so keep an eye out for awesome stories from adorable animals like these two:

Snack time at Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary!

I had this dream... 🐯🐱

I was in this sanctuary for Tigers and Lions, where they were saved from zoos to be rehabilitated and sent out into the wild. I was mainly with the lions but I remember people calling them “it’s” & me stopping them and telling them they aren’t objects for our enjoyment; which is why they were here. The male lion I was in charge of handling was nudging at kids and not being hostile at all, they were happy and this one gay family, two women, brought their infant up to this male lion, and the lion nudged the infant slightly and then licked the infant.

I must have been in heaven. And you know what they say about lions in heaven, "the lion will lay with the lamb".
