I,,,,want the sides to take a D&D alignment test ,,,,like in an asides episode or something like that. (Also this post has actually been a few days in making because I forgot about it in my drafts) SO that is what’s goin on under the keep reading
I'm Chaotic Good. We do what is necessary to bring about change, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom,not only for themselves but for others as well. They do the right thing but their method is disorganized and out of sync with the rest of society. A good example of a chaotic good character is Robin Hood. The D&D 3.5e Player Handbook nicknames this alignment as "Rebel"
Anyway heres my headcanons
Roman: I think Roman would be considered Lawful Good. Lawful Good characters are considered protectors, an iconic example is a Paladin. They typically act with compassion and always with Honour and a sense of duty. They often regret taking any action they fear would violate their code, even if the action is regarded as "good". Character examples are Lancelot, and again, Classic Paladins.
Janus: I believe Janus would probably be Chaotic Neutral. Chaotic Neutral characters are commonly called "The Free Spirit" . They follow their own whims like a Chaotic Good but unlike the Chaotic Good character they mainly focus on their own wellbeing. They're not evil about it, they just aren't necessarily motivated by the needs of others. (Example: Patton saying "we should still try to help those in need?" And Janus replies "whatever, sure if that's your thing"). Chaotic Neutral characters do what is to ensure their freedom, protect their free will end get the outcome they want. It could be a good action to get them there or an evil action, they don't care. If they take to many of one type of action they may fall into a good or evil alignment, I can actually see Janus falling into a Chaotic Good alignment. Character Examples are Captain Jack Sparrow, Cat Woman, Loki and Rocket (last two are MCU I'm sorry oop)
Remus: I think he'd also be Chaotic Neutral. I don't see him as an evil character of any type. He’s also definitely chaotic but not good so I think Chaotic Neutral fits best here. He probably would take more evil actions than good unlike Janus who would probably take more good actions than evil actions. However he is NOT Chaotic Evil. Chaotic Evil characters have no respect for rules, other people's lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. This is not Remus or Janus.
Virgil: He's tricky tbh, but I think his best fit is gonna be Neutral Good. Neutral Good characters do the best to help others, but they do it because they want to, not because they are told to by a person or Society's laws. They generally follow the rules and laws of society, they do so because they lead to good outcome, rather than because they feel obligation. A negative about Neutral Good characters is that they care about upholding good more than abiding by law so they can adopt Chaotic behaviours and be unpredictable if pushed. Character examples would be Gandalf, Spiderman, Harry Potter and Frodo Baggins. Hot take Pre-AA he probably would have been Chaotic Good and was swayed into a a more neutral alignment with his acceptance.
Logan: A little tricky but less so than Virgil. He's probably True Neutral. They're neutral on both axes and tend to not feel strongly towards any alignment, or actively seek their balance. Neutral characters can be some of the strongest in existence because they aren't burdened by emotions (not to say they don't have emotions but that their emotions tend to not influence their actions) and don't worry about their good or bad intentions being misconstrued. They see things as they are and act upon each moment in whatever they see fit. They don't believe in upholding the rules and laws of society but nor do they feel the need to rebel. These characters can come off as apathetic and indecisive. They're frustrating to work with being they don't pick sides. Character examples would be Sherlock, Lara Croft, Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), and Malcolm Reynolds.
Patton: Alright so he’s the absolute hardest character for me to pick an alignment. You’d think he’d be a good alignment right? Yea, I thought so too but then I couldn’t figure out exactly what Good alignment he’d have. He’s not chaotic and he’s not neutral but still not quite lawful. If I was going to give him an alignment however I’d probably have to say the closet one is going to be Lawful Good but that still doesn’t feel quite right
