Story:
His first victims were the parents of his first mate.
Waningjaw had long complained to him of her parents’ sneers, of how they belittled her at every opportunity. So when he suggested a method to get even, Waningjaw’s joy was palpable.
It was that moment that Sandfoot decided that, for his mates and his kits, he would do anything short of murder to make them happy.
He got to work the next day, spreading rumors that Waningjaw’s mother, Honeymoon, was actually cheating on her mate, Huskbristle. When he told his mates, they laughed and joked that it wasn’t too far from the realm of possibility, especially considering that Honeymoon’s latest litter looked nothing like her mate.
Eventually, the rumors reached Rockyawn, who publicly admitted the affair, then promptly left the Clan to be a kittypet.
When Sandfoot’s own kits were born, he cried at every birth, not leaving the nursery until the medicine cat forcibly removed him.
They were all so perfect!
He tried to be the best mate he could be, never raising his voice, even during a disagreement. His mates were the envy of their peers, and whenever a cat was rude to any of them, Sandfoot made short work of their reputation.
His life was uneventful until his eldest daughter, Midgepaw, approached him crying, telling him that her mentor, Warblersky, had called her a useless apprentice.
Sandfoot had groomed her messy fur, guided her to sit by Fogsnap, and then found Warblersky outside of camp.
Warblersky was never quite the same after that, simply rocking back and forth in the middle of camp.
He kept a closer eye on the mentors of his kits from then on.
He silently noted every unsheathed claw, every harsh word. And then he showed those ‘mentors’ exactly what he thought of their teaching practices.
When his own kits found love of their own, he was surprised to find that not everyone was as nice to their mates as he was.
There was Rampelt, Plumbounce’s sneering mate, who raised a paw exactly once to his daughter and granddaughters.
He lost that paw the next day in a horrible ‘accident’.
There was Duntail, Myrtlespeck’s mate, who took every waking moment to belittle his son.
That relationship didn’t last long after Sandfoot had a ‘talk’ with Duntail.
Throughout the rest of his life, he made things as easy as possible for his kin.
But hell would befall those who hurt them.
Additional Information:
--Submission by @ambitiousauthor
--His actual victim count is closer to the high twenties, but he has eleven named victims.
--He was never cruel to those who he felt did no harm.
--He loves all of his wives so much, and is very sad when he can’t see them any more.
--His eyes are abuser orange, since Starclan looked at him beating up the shitty mentors, and went, ‘yeah that counts.’
