​honestly i'm not even really thinking about my family. i just dislike all names i come up with. i simply think of myself as the name i've had for my entire life... how do people change their names. i mean i get it but it's so difficult. like. that's my name i've had that name since i was born almost 36 years ago and i've had it ever since :')

I am going to deadname MYSELF even if i were to transition and change my name!

Dutch goddesses on International Goddess Day

Today is the first Sunday of September, which since a few years has been dubbed ‘International Goddess Day’ by some pagans. I like this idea – the pagan religion is one of a few world wide religions in which female deities get as much if not more attention as their male counterparts (if there are female deities at all). So yeah, everyday is goddess day if you ask goddess worshippers, but let’s just spread the word that there are many goddesses, large and small, some worshipped by millions, others long forgotten (but slowly waking up again).

For me it’s a nice opportunity to shine some light on the goddesses that were once worshipped in the Netherlands  by the peoples who lived here thousands of years ago. In fact, some of them are being enthousiastically rediscovered – Nehalennia even has her own modern temple. For this website, I’m trying to stick to the facts. It’s quite astounding how many deities – male and female – were once worshipped in and around this little area that is now known as the Netherlands. Here are seven goddesses (click on the names); but seek and you shall find many more!

apologies for the delay in responding, tumblr + mobile=suckage. 

From what I hear, there’s a group organizing to make a PodFic version, which would be AMAZING, but it doesn’t exist yet. (if someone can prove me wrong, please let me know where I can find it? I wants it, but I SUCK at reading out loud.)

So, yeah. This was us reading it aloud for each other for a while. Then we got distracted by all the Winchester Special motels in Oklahoma, put it down, and never picked it back up.

​ah, no, the television is an alien object to me. my mom watches the tv in the kitchen and my brother watches the tv in the living room. i barely know how you turn those on (i mean i know how to turn a tv on, but my brother Does Things(TM) to the devices in the house and we have a gazillion different remote controls for each tv). i'm a computer person through and through. never been a tv in my room.

i used a playstation exactly once in my life and that was on the day of the 2006 world cup final (when italy won). i needed something to pass the time while anxiously waiting for the match. my brother had me try out the playstation. never felt the need to use it again...
