I've never been a rare comic collector. I've never been a rare vinyl collector either. I have alway bought comics (and records) with the singular purpose of enjoying them. If you cant flip through them and read them, why have them? If you can't sit back with a scotch on the rocks listening to a great find, what's the point? I recently reaquired the full set of the old Malibu/Aircel run of The Men in Black. The artwork isn't spectacular, but the stories are pretty phenomenal. Ranging from cult drug dealers to D&D players releasing demons, the books are just plain fun.
