okay i just had this abrupt realization that
ray’s mom (sandy) says that ray is always bringing home animals from the forest
ray is allergic to anything without scales
so like does this mean
ray brings homes small animals without scales and the only reason sandy finds out is because ray almost dies in his effort to keep them hidden
ray brings home turtles and lizards and sometimes small snakes until sandy caves and looks into what the most pet friendly reptile is with ray and that’s how they got slinky
