VALE SANE
“For those who haven’t heard this story yet…✌🏻June 1990, Dedicated to Sane Rtw Rip.
This was my last Whole Car. This was done in Broadway train station, Astoria at around 5-5:30 in the morning. I told Smith I was going to do a Whole Car end to end and I told him to come watch my back. Just look out for the cops, and let me know if they were coming up the steps, He didn’t come. I told him I was Doing this car for his brother Sane as a Surprise and he still didn’t come and look out for me. So I went by myself. This car was about 9 cans of white and I still didn’t have enough! That’s how huge this Min was. This was on a N train. I brought 7-9 cans of Red, ran out of Red as well! It was still dark out while I was painting. As I was painting, I looked through the windows and I could see the people on the opposite track that were heading to work trying to look into the windows to see what was goin’ on. They obviously knew someone was painting. Let alone MinOne– they saw the spray paint bouncing off the train into the light. I had to look out for cops/mta workers and do my car at the same time. Finally, the car is finished. I did the MIN on the side that I knew Sane would see it when he would head home. Since he worked for the MTA. I go back to Smith’s and tell Smith I did it. He couldn’t believe it. All by myself. Sane came home and said to me “You’ve been a bad boy” laughing. Great times. I miss Sane (David) so much. A true Brother. SANE RTW FOR LIFE.“
