     He’d made sure his steps fell silently – even to the ears of another slayer – as he moved forwards through the crowd. Since his pardoning he’d been more bold going into cities, but still preferred to cloak himself to avoid recognition. Not that he cared – it was more annoying.  

     It had been a long time since he’d entered this cities limits, probably not long enough for some. He chuckled to himself as his thoughts narrowed in on a specific person – the same person he was trailing. His steps faltered when he realized he all but blew his cover with the laugh.  

     “Well fuck, guess I kinda screwed that up, huh?”

I know this sounds odd.. but I always just imagined it is how he got the large scar on his face? I know that is silly but hey why not?

On this blog, it is, but not from the direct implantation. It was placed into his upper chest region with magic, and the resulting fusion caused a discharge that exited his body through his right eye.

Who was he to deny it? Okay maybe he really hadn’t been thinking that, but it was a nice thought. “Ahh... that actually doesn’t sound half bad-” he arched a brow. “You gonna’ join me? I can make you somethin’ to drink as well.”

She really shouldn't do it, but she did anyway. She had gotten recipes from that favorite snake of his in fairy tail and created her own versions of it. Much like she had last year for the poison dragon slayer. She still wasn't /mad/ at him, honestly she was more so at herself than anything. However, he would find this little bundle of goodies waiting for him when he went back to report to Jellal. Erza had been quite helpful and getting CS's whereabouts. (sangdombre)

There was the lingering scent of darkness on the package, or whatever it was she smelled like; he didn’t concern himself too much with it. Jellal had given him the package the last time he’d stopped by the Guilt Gang’s camp, and decided to wait until he was alone to open it. 

One thing he knew for sure, Nyx knew what she was doing. He could tell she’d gone to Kaiden initially, but the twists she added kicked up each concoction perfectly. The acidity from one was enough to actually irritate his sinuses, making his left eye water and his tastebuds zing. He’d make them last this time though, considering it had been nearly a year since she last sent him some tweaked poisons. 

Maybe if he stopped by more often – he’d either get smacked or chased out if he went into that town. Almost too risky. Almost. He grinned as he planned his break-in; spring would be the best time in his mind. Don’t want to seem too desperate, but – so he had been told – it was rude to make a lady wait.

“Say~ The nights still young and I want ice cream, wanna join me?” He had gotten done with what work he could. Despite his body being quite battered and bandaged up from a previous mission, the Guild Master was beginning to grown restless. From bed to his office and back again, it didn’t suit him well at all. 

He could at least walk on his own by now, and at a good speed as well. Fingers tapped against the wooden surface of the desk he was sat at, azure hues shifting in the direction of his partner. Just having the company of the woman would be enough to raise his spirits; hanging out on your own was never fun. 

“Come on... What do you say? My treat of course!~”

After a visit with Kaiden, there was a small matter of getting a treat to the poison man. It took some doing and bribing but a box was going to be delivered via one of his guildmates. Inside the box was a note saying "It's okay. Happy Valentines Day" and chocolate covered ricin seeds, but in the chocolate was mixed tetrodotoxin to give it that extra kick. Hopefully, Erik liked neurotoxins.

Receiving the box of chocolates was one of the weirdest moments of Cobra’s life. Seeing the note inside made it even weirder. He wasn’t going to complain though, the treats were sinful as all hell – and given the amount of trouble one would have to go through to get something like this, really made the note seem that much more believable.

He didn’t want to think about it though, because he felt guilty, and he never felt guilty for doing shitty things. Except this… apparently. He crunched on the seeds angrily almost, poppin’ them in one after the other, and it wasn’t until he bit his tongue that he stopped.

Well… she didn’t hate him… that was obvious by how much work she’d put into the treats she’d sent him (and they were pretty friggin’ good). Despite her lack of distaste for him, he couldn’t shake the guilt. He closed up the bag and stuck the seeds in his pocket; grabbing his cloak (which he admittedly liked more than he expected to) he flicked the hood up and started walking towards the town she lived in.
