Sangyao please, for the spooky writing jam? Go as spooky as you like, but for monstery things I prefer xenobiology descriptions to anything gory or bloody! Something based on this tumblr post, with Meng Yao as the flustered monster https://www.tumblr.com/madralee/732704295617740800
"You weren't ever supposed to see this," Meng Yao mumbled into -were those hands or claws? Huaisang really wasn't sure- the appendages covering what passed for his head. "Nobody was ever supposed to see this."
Around... what was still his neck, Huaisang supposed, the ring of eyes on fur-ruff-shaped blackness looked like they were going to cry any moment.
It was... kind of adorable, really. Even though he couldn't entirely figure out what Meng Yao's current shape was supposed to be, what he could see... well, it wasn't scary at all.
He knelt down in front of the huddled lump of darkness and took a hankerchief from his sleeve, beginning to gently blot away the wetness welling up in the extra eyes. "It's okay-"
"It's okay," he insisted, gently coaxing the appendages down so he could hold them like hands. "Nobody has to know about this. I won't tell, and I'll make sure not to surprise you next time."
The five-horned shape that constituted Meng Yao's head opened four more eyes that looked just as miserable as the ones around his neck. "How can you possibly ever want to kiss me again after knowing about this?" he asked, despite having no visible mouth to do so.
Huaisang grinned. "I'll kiss you again right now, if that's okay with you."
All of the eyes went wide, and a second set of limbs Huaisang hadn't noticed earlier fidgeted anxiously.
Raising the hands -and they were starting to look more like hands- he was holding, Huaisang kissed them both, then cupped Meng Yao's face and began peppering kisses under the horns and around the eyes.
By the time he was finished, Meng Yao's appearance had returned to fully human and stabilized.
"Okay? Nie Huaisang asked, gently pressing their foreheads together."
Meng Yao made a noise that could have been a laugh or a sob, then threw his only set of arms around Nie Huaisang, squeezing tightly as he buried his face into Huaisang's neck.
"Okay," came the muffled affirmation.
