Shiv Sena (UBT) Faces Fresh Crisis as 6 MPs Skip Key Meeting, Sanjay Raut Warns of Expulsion
A new political storm is brewing in Maharashtra after six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs skipped the party's parliamentary meeting, fueling speculation of another split. Senior leader Sanjay Raut termed the absent MPs "traitors" and warned that disciplinary action and membership cancellation proceedings would follow.
The missing MPs are reportedly considering joining Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena faction. UBT leaders, including Arvind Sawant, have announced show-cause notices for the rebels.
Raut also accused the BJP and the Shinde camp of attempting to lure MPs with massive financial offers, alleging a "50-crore deal" for each lawmaker. With tensions escalating, Uddhav Thackeray's party may be heading toward yet another major setback in Maharashtra politics.
