October Bitties (part one)
Introducing the first of two sets of bitties being released for October! All are available for adoption and will be featured in the annual Halloween event!
Dye (Chesstale Napstablook) Being black pawns, Dye bitties are usually viewed by other Chesstale bitties as being the lowest on the hierarchical ladder. But that's just fine with them, because they are perfectly comfortable with being who they are and have no desire to change themselves for others. Dye bitties are prone to tears, of course, but unlike other bittyblooks their tears are black in color (and the reason the top hats they wear are also black). Dye bitties will often take to decorating their hats with ribbons, the most common preference in ribbon color being blue. While they are able to be left alone for up to three days without anyone else around, these bitties are only truly able to thrive in a household with at least one other bitty to keep them company. They also prefer to have their own private dwellings rather than sharing with another.
Diamond (Chesstale Mettaton) Elevated to a black rook from a black pawn, Diamond bitties take great pride in their higher ranking and they admittedly tend to lean on their newfound status every now and then. They don't think much of pawns but do tend to be eager to please those they see as being higher-ranked than they are. It is presumed that this is due to Diamond bitties not getting the respect and adoration they desired while pawns, and now that they believe themselves being worthy of said recognition that they desire as much of it as possible. They will not often date below their rank for that reason, though they are open to forming connections (either platonic or romantic) with those of the same rank or higher. They enjoy attention and are always open to speaking with their fans; an easy way to gain a Diamond's favor is to present them with an expensive gift.
Sable (Chesstale Sans) Sable bitties aren't usually the types to draw unnecessary attention to themselves if they can avoid it. Though they still have a penchant for puns, they are quieter and less talkative than other Sans-type bittybones but also the most hardworking. However, their hardworking nature can lead to them pushing themselves to the point of burnout, and it takes a lot of convincing for them to take breaks. These bitties often suffer from inferiority complexes due to being black pawns (therefore low-ranking), believing themselves to be somehow lesser, though they do tend to be receptive to those who will build them up and encourage them rather than break them down further. They do enjoy puns, both hearing and making them, but typically only pun back at others if they feel comfortable enough. It's not uncommon for a Sable bitty to develop a crush on those who appear bigger and stronger than they are due to their desire to feel protected.
Pitch (Chesstale Papyrus) Pitch bitties are as straightforward and to the point with their feelings as one would expect a rook to be; they are very emotionally clever and capable of reading others with ease. They are also quite protective of the Sables they are paired with, but unfortunately cannot be around them as much as they would like to due to busy schedules. Pitch bitties tend to be very clean and organized, and push themselves hard in anything they set their minds to. They do tend to worry over their respective Sables and are willing to drop everything in order to care for them should they be suffering from burnout. Pitch bitties also have a hard time falling asleep due to having active minds; establishing a wind-down routine usually helps. It's not uncommon during one of their sleepless nights for a Pitch to occupy himself with puzzles or do some cleaning. These bitties often put forth a cheerful, optimistic front for others, but will show their real emotions around those they know can keep a secret.
