yes i get that! like uggh a lot of people are jerks about it. i guess a lot of the time i just get annoyed by people ignoring sexualities, ie not just straight people, but people who are happy to ignore other peoples identities idk

yes i totally agree. it's really squicky and unfortunately happens both ways. i just say fuck straight identities, queer everyone one way or another. but yeah, certain portions of every fandom can be really sucky and disappointing and erase valid identities of canon queer characters :(

people get a little annoyed tho, because like even in lgbqt communities, biphobia is really evident? like people cant seem to comprehend it and its just really annoying and hard for bi people. idk, and bi folks have to deal with a lot of it, ya know

believe me, i totally understand! i mostly just ID as queer but bi/pansexual leaning. and i definitely agree that monosexism and bi/pan erasure is pretty fucking awful and gross. there was just a specific post that said calling alpha kali a lesbian was bi erasure and i can understand where it's coming from, i just don't agree? especially since canonically she's only ever been seen as actually romantically invested in one character, a cis man. so in this case i think if people wanna headcanon kali as a lesbian it's not erasure per se, because kali is representative of any sexual minority within canon? and also it's totally okay and awesome to headcanon her as bi, or pan, or whatever else. i think it becomes problematic when you're erasing CANON LBGTQ characters' identity; ie if kali said she was a lesbian and people wanted her to be bisexual anyway, or if the show said she was bisexual and people wrote it off and called her a lesbian (which i do see happen in other fandoms, or people shipping lesbian/gay characters with partners that aren't of the same gender)
