I pretty stopped caring who "won" on Game of Thrones after Margaery Tyrell died, but electing an omniscient tree god in the hopes that he MIGHT not abuse his absolute power was the worst solution ever (thanks GRRM and your love of hive minds, A Song for Lya sucked BTW), so what if... Margaery strolls up in the middle of one of those council meetings with a blonde toddler that was clearly spawned by Tommen and is all 'Guess WHAT, bitches?'
I tried bringing it up in other forums, but people didn't like it: what if Jon and Sansa were faced with the choice between Margaery who will fight in their wars if they help her bring Cersei down and lets the North keep their independence, and Dany (and her dragons) who fights against the latter? When faced with two rival factions who have murdered members of your family, you'd pick the one that lets you keep what you want, especially if she is fighting against a common enemy for the same reasons you are, right? I was told that since the North honors divine birthright, they would trust Dany's "right" to the Iron Throne over Tommen!Spawn, but they didn't seem to care too much about that during the last few seasons of the show and even Jon fought it during much of S7.
Plus, we can have Margaery awkwardly trying to seduce Jon (fun times, plus she is arguably a ginger) while fighting her feelings for Sansa, who is still angry about that whole being-framed-for-regicide thing (which won't last forever).
(What is Dany doing during all of this? IDK. Making out with Yara and not dying, mostly. Maybe she suffers some losses during the entire process and hightails it back to Essos).
The entire story ends with Margaery in charge, Jon still gets his nice mountain cabin with Tormund and Ghost AND his reputation intact, and not one but two epic queens-with-benefits power couples.
Sounds good to me.
