This is San Siro. Remeber when Real Madrid won the Undecima? It was in this stadium. Remember the Inter who won the Triplete? They playes in this stadium This is the place where Inter and Milan play. This is the my stadium. This is where I went to see my first match with my father when I was like six. And now they want to tear it down. Now you’ll say that it happens sometimes to stadiums, that a lot of teams now want their own stadium and so on. And you’ll be right. Execpt they want to tear it down and build another one really close to it. Except that Inter and Milan won’t have their own stadium cause they will keep playing in the same one. The new stadium will still be propriety of the city. Basically this new stadium will be a smaller, less cool SanSiro. They want to tear down a piece of history to built a smaller replica a few feet away. When they playes the Champions League Final they stadium was renovated. They want to tear it down for no reason at all. So that while building the new stadium Inter and Milan will have SanSiro to play in, cause rebuilding is cheaper than renovating. And I see it happen all the time for so many things. They built new stadiums, new hispitals a few feet away from the old ones and when we’re lucky they tear donw the old ones, when we’re not they leave them there to rot. Now I’m wondering. Is tearing down SanSiro worth it? Is it worth it to tear down an iconic stadium where history was written really worth it? Cause none of the teams will have their own stadium, especially cause the new one will be right next to this one. Is it worth it to destroy this stadium just to save some money. For me the answer is no. And for you?
