Kirito dragging his ass out of bed to go look for Asuna as soon as he wakes up is so unlikely as to be impossible after more than 2 years comatose, but it's anime so whatever. Still even though it's anime the only thought running through my mind is He Is Going To Hurt Later.
I mean dude you've got atrophied muscles, probably bed sores too, and probably either dealing with the weight of catheter bags pulling on your skin, or worse from the change of gravity. Maybe at absolute worst really badly ripped the out getting up which would be agonising but would never be seen on that kind of anime. Just a world of hurt coming his way because of that scene no matter how cool.
Kirito had to know deep down that whatever revival item the santa monster dropped it wouldn't be able to bring back Sachi, just based on how the game kills people in real life. At best it'd have been able to make an NPC based on her, but is was never going to be able to bring her back.
Apparently I've picked up a new red flag indicator since the last time I watched Sword Art GGO. Or maybe it's just because I've seen it before and knew who to look for as one of the antagonists.
There is this moment in GGO when Sinon is at the park irl with her friend Shinkawa and complaining about Kirito, and Shinkawa's reaction is to start going on about how it's concerning she's showing so much emotion because she's never been that outgoing around him before.

Suicidal transfem Kirito is so real. Wish she had a better writer so she'd get some actual characterization. "I thought it was better to die together than to survive alone, especially if it's a girl like you." is like. Yeah thats sure how I felt at her age. Risking your live saving someone not because you know you can, but because if you can't, you won't have to live with yourself anymore. Such a familiar deathwish.
I really feel for that one background character in the first episode whose girl avatar is taken away with Kayaba's bullshit btw. She can't even get gender affirming care in the fantasy death viddy game.
When Asuna comforts her mother in ALO during their big talk you see her wedding band on full display, and I get the impression her mother didn't notice it, but can you imagine if she did!? That could have led to an interesting convo.
How funny would it have been if the bonus item long coat Kirito got from the first boss fight, the one he puts on at the end of his dramatic "yeah call me a beater" speech had been like hot pink or cyan or had a leopard print trim or something? I'm just saying I've had some pretty ugly boss reward items in games before.
