Saplingleaf is one of the hardest working cats in VineClan, and has been dedicated to becoming leader her whole life. She almost never seems tired, and is full of energy.  She has a natural ability to lead, and cats are more likely to follow her. Saplingleaf had a big backing to be deputy when Mousestar had to choose one, but when he chose the more-unqualified Smokenose, Saplingleaf was furious. She’s held a grudge against Mousestar since, and purposely goes against his orders to get under his skin. Snakeheart has been very supportive of his mate, and he’s her biggest fan. When he gives her flower crowns, Saplingleaf wears them until they’re nearly rotten. Saplingleaf is very competitive, and loves to come out on top. She’s also a good arguer, and a bit short-tempered as well. But she is also caring, and loves her family more than anything. She wants the best for her daughter Emberpaw, and encourages her to train hard; likely because she’s her mentor. Saplingleaf nearly begged Mousestar to mentor her daughter, which Mousestar was unsure about since traditionally, cats don’t mentor their immediate kin. But since he’s actually a little afraid of her, he allowed it. Saplingleaf always has high spirits, and her confidence makes any cat admire her.
