Birchmask

Medicine Cat of BlazeClan

Birchmask was born outside of BlazeClan, living as a loner for much of her kithood. When she reached adulthood, she caught wind of a group of cats living in the red forest. Having lived on her own, Birchmask had a natural talent for healing and taking care of herself. She introduced herself to BlazeClan, and was swiftly apprenticed as a medicine cat. While she may be gifted in healing, Birchmask was always skeptical of StarClan. She wouldn't say she doesn't believe in them, but is generally disinterested. Her personality made her get along with most cats, but her best friend would be another young cat, Cherryseed. The two did everything together for many moons, having crushes on one another but never vocalizing it. That is, until very recently, where they are now happy mates. Birchmask is kind and patient, perfect qualities for a healer. She's served her Clan for many moons, and she still has many more to come.

Lynxfang

Deputy of BlazeClan

Brother: Hailwind

Lynxfang is a warrior in every sense of the word. He takes his role very seriously, often coming off as standoffish to others. As deputy, he knows his place is not to one day become leader, but to aid in supporting his leader at all times. He trusts Sparkstar immensely, sometimes to a fault. Lynxfang's morals are so sound that any deviation from his prospects of a Clan of glory shuts him down. He has to bite his tongue occasionally due to differences in the customs of other Clans. His mate, Fernroot, tries to get him to lighten up once in a while, to no real success. Lynxfang fears that letting his guard down even for a moment can be disastrous, leading him to an endless loop of paranoia and self-imposed diligence at all times.

Sparkstar

Leader of BlazeClan

Son: Firekit

Sparkstar has been leader for many moons, part of a lineage destined to lead their Clan. The daughter of the previous leader, she was raised to bring BlazeClan to glory. And glory she brought, becoming leader and defending her borders with strength and foresight. They're very calculated in their decisions, including when to bring an heir into the world. She never seeked out a mate, nor did she have the patience for raising a kit and leading her Clan. Her son, Firekit, was born while his mother created battle plans. He is raised as the young prince of BlazeClan, learning from Sparkstar all there is to leading. It's imperative to her that she must protect her son, as he is a prime target of the future of the Clan. While she's mostly business, Sparkstar enjoys the fruits of her labor in watching her Clan enjoy leisure in times of peace, brought forth by their paw.

Yarrowstem was once seen as one of SeedClan's most valued warriors; while quiet, he was brilliant in strategy and stealth. His tact could be the difference between a win or loss in battle. In his older years, he still hails the glory his Clan could have if they chose to be more offensive. In that way, he butts heads with his son and leader, Daffodilstar, quite often. Yarrowstem will always be proud of his sons, seeing their mother in each and everything they do; he feels she is honored as long as they stick together.

Needlethorn

Daughter: Hawthornetail

Needlethorn has always been a stern and commanding cat. He served as deputy for some time before his retirement, at the behest of his daughter and current deputy, Hawthornetail. Contrary to typical Clan behavior, Needlethorn is serious and snappy when it comes to getting things done. Even in his time of rest, he grumbles at the apprentices for a poor job. His expectations of his Clan extend to his daughter, whom he isn't very close with. His pride drove a wedge between them, which he didn't realize until when she didn't tell him about her pregnancy. Needlethorn secretly wishes he could bring himself to connect with his grandkits, but something prevents him from taking that step forward.

Mallowkit

Mallowkit is quite the opposite of his mellow name- he's a troublemaker to the core, finding enjoyment in harmless pranks on his elders. While many don't seem to share his glee, a good reaction is all it takes for Mallowkit to keep going. His antics aren't exactly encouraged, with constant scolding from his parents, hoping to the stars that he grows out of this behavior. Mallowkit argues he's enjoying his time as a kit before responsibility comes, something he secretly dreads having to face. He may act foolish, but that doesn't make him one at heart.

Bluebellkit

Bluebellkit is much more like his mother, Hawthornetail, than just appearance. Shy and quiet, Bluebellkit is a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to new things. He'd rather hide behind his father Cottonpatch than face whatever it was. Nonetheless, when he does open up, he's often left in wonder. Bluebellkit is excited to be an apprentice; less so to learn to hunt and fight, but to see the world outside of the camp. Unlike his twin brother, Bluebellkit tries to stay away from trouble, but often gets dragged along into Mallowkit's antics regardless. Bluebellkit has a lot of growing up to do, but no one doubts that he will become a kind and respectable warrior.

Leafkit

Mothers: Buttercupheart, Orchidrose

Sister: Hollyhockkit

Like her namesake, Leafkit appears soft and quiet, but has some sharp edges to her. She's still young, and isn't quite sure of her place in the Clan yet, so she takes in what everyone else says about her wholeheartedly. If her parents say she could be a fast runner, Leafkit will practice running circles around the camp. If Hollyhockkit, her sister and best friend, says she talks too much, Leafkit will think before she speaks. She's very gullible to what others tell her, and can be too innocent for her own good. Luckily, her family is quite protective and tries to keep her focused on the present. Leafkit is easily affected by her emotions, but once she finds her place in SeedClan, she'll surely serve them well.

Hollyhockkit

Hollyhockkit is an intelligent cat, yet is often too in her head to show it. An avid daydreamer, her own goals in life conflict with what is expected of her by her parents. Her naturally bulky stature leads her mothers to expect Hollyhockkit to one day be a great warrior, but she’s less enthusiastic about it. She enjoys crafting trinkets and building in general, and would much rather live that way. Her sister, Leafkit, is more willing to live up to the expectations of her parents, and this doesn’t get in the way of their close bond. The two are inseparable, and despite bickering often, Hollyhockkit adores her sister. She often watches conflicts within her own Clan to understand how much of it works, and is interested in the inner workings of Clan life. One day she hopes to make some real changes in her Clan, but would much rather not be forced to fight to do this.

Orchidrose

Sister: Peachblossom

Orchidrose has always been seen as an outcast in her Clan. She’s more of an observer of the ins and outs of Clan life, rarely talking with anyone and keeping to themselves. Orchidrose had a troubling kithood, as she was deeply traumatized by losing their mentor in battle. The scar on her shoulder reminds them of the tragedy, never truly healing from it. But life goes on, and Orchidrose felt comforted by the companionship of her closest friend Buttercupheart, so much so that the two fell in love. They would never admit it, but their mate means a lot to them. Buttercupheart is the only cat Orchidrose is comfortable having physical contact with, and she’s proud of his accomplishments. As a mother, they’re very protective of their kits, and has big hopes for them as well. Orchidrose knows she was never able to reach her full potential do to many obstacles in her path, but they will do whatever they can to ensure their kits will.
