Regarding the canon Disney movie— I think so. She’s Disney’s 100th anniversary protagonist, so she’s bound to get some merch sold, even if the movie was lackluster. I saw somewhere that she would even go ahead of Mirabel for her turn in the Disney princess lineup, so… I guess Mirabel gets shoved aside for many things.
Regarding my rewrite, she’s already a princess, so of course she’d be in the official lineup. She’d… probably throw a fit if she wasn’t, tbh

Actually, none of the seven teens are straight in The Fallen Star. Or… anyone, I think.
Gabo is actually aromantic in TFS! He just wants his friends and family happy and safe, and he’s perfectly content with that. All love is love! Familial, platonic, romantic, etc.
Besides, we don’t see a lot of aspec rep in media, and I thought it would be cool if our favourite protective pessimistic boy could represent the strong aspect of true love via family. Friendship is magic and whatnot

While Asha is shown the good in people and how they don’t actually all suck and aren’t all stupid, Cielo is shown how sometimes, life isn’t that great. People betray your trust. Bad things happen. Loved ones get hurt.

Cielo is sort of like Giselle in that way, witnessing real life. And, like Ariel, actually in-person
His relationship with Evangeline is sort of like a mother/son dynamic, with Eva raising them most of their life. Stars nowadays think they’re better than humans, these weak little ants who need their help to do everything. Humans believed this too, overly relying on Stars and making them all-powerful.
Eva was one of the only Stars to still believe in helping humans achieve their wish. As a result, she’s looked down on by other Stars, and less people believe in her so she’s less powerful.
Cielo was a dwarf star, barely noticeable, very weak. Evangeline sort of took him under her wing (quite literally) and raised them with the belief that a true Wishing Star is born to help others achieve their dreams.
So Cielo is sort of shunned too. He spends most of his free time observing humans and watching them. This one kingdom catches his attention a lot. A kingdom of wishes (ayyyy) where a barrier keeps its people from wishing on stars.
But one day, an explosion happens and a vortex sucks Cielo inside said kingdom. He’s pulled towards something, someone, then crashes into a house in his little star form, not ready to be pulled to Earth yet.
A short young man chases him away, and traps him inside a little house while he yells for his friends.
If something happened and Asha suddenly became affectionate (temporarily), what would Cielo do in that situation?
Cielo would at first tease her back, thinking she was joking. When he realize something is wrong, though, he immediately goes serious to make sure she’s okay. They don’t want her to do anything she wouldn’t normally do. He’s appreciate her affection, of course, but spends their time to get her back to normal as quickly as possible.
Once she’s all good, though… he’s teasing her about how many hugs she gave them :3
Hiiiiii! 😁 Hope you're doing well! You know how you helped me with rewriting "Welcome to Rosas"? Well, it turned out so well, that I'd like to ask for your help again, this time with " This Wish"!
I've already finished and posted Chapter 2 last week, so now I'm currently setting up Chapter 3. AND ITS GONNA HAVE STAR!! ⭐ Its going to be the last test chapter before I ask on how readers feel about it so far.
So the way the structure is going to go is that it starts with the evil royals attempting to grab the a star from the sky and start to become a looming threat on the Hamlet. Then it would transition into a dream sequence for Asha. When she wakes, she finds that Sabino has gotten really sick ever since he lost his wish. So when she has the singing moment, she's basically venting and fed up feeling powerless and trapped. Wanting to do more for him and her people, she wishes on a star in the heat of the moment. Not long after the song ends, Star comes down, in a rather reckless way. 😅

Maybe something like “they promised that they would set us free, give our wishes to them and they’d be safe. So naive, little did I know, that they had lied, that the truth was so far off” or something idk but change the “isn’t truth supposed to set you free” since your Asha wasn’t gullible
I think the “when I speak” part could be kept, maybe tweaked a bit, up until the “look up at the stars to guide me”
I think the “throw caution to every warning sign” should be changed. I get what it’s trying to mean, but it’s not the smoothest
Some phrases that may fit are “grow a spine” or “something divine” or even “take this as a sign”
I think the “I never knew I needed room to grow” should change since it seems sort of conceited with everyone except TFS!Asha. Only because for her, it tracks
Maybe add something about her saba? How she’s raised her and why he’s important to her?
“All these years, my saba cared for me, kept me safe, from vicious royalty. But now, it’s my turn to be, the shield for them all, protect my family!”
If you change that part, maybe also change the “past dipping my toes in” as well
“And I’ve got reservations and hesitations on where I should even begin, but I’m past staying and hiding, and now it’s time to fight and win!”

Also, the end beat should be a belt imo. Give me that “Part of Your World” callback, you know? Idk the setting of the song, but if it’s at the Wishing Tree, the events could similarly follow the movie with the bright light and crash if needed
