something I've been meaning to talk about is I don't like the take that, "c karl always falls in love with every version of c sapnap, but not every version of c quackity." while yes that's objectively true, you need to take into account quackity hardly, if ever, plays a serious character in tales, while sapnap at least plays semi serious ones if not totally serious in each one he's in. you don't get to just ignore that and act like it's some big evidence that what has been happening between them was bound to, or that he never loved c q as much as c sap. sometimes you have to un-immerse yourself from the lore and think about it for a second.
the only character that was SEMI srs that quackity played in tales was jack in the wild west tales (as srs as u can be with the name jack kanoff LMFAO). and guess what? karls character was flirting with him. as well as sapnaps character. and q and s had off handed things about their characters being romantically involved with eachother as well. it's just a matter of what type of character they are playing and what fits with it.
id also like to mention quackity plays a decently srs character in mizu, but he barely talks and dies early on, so there's not really much room to expand on that. meanwhile, sapnaps characters usually last the entire episode, if not near the end, giving more time for them to make those connections.
basically what I'm trying to say is, the soulmate theory is awesome, but you don't need to push it to try and make it angsty. let them have healthy fun romantic parts of their relationship and believe that they are truly soulmates in every time line. all three of them.
