riverclan — year five — newleaf

ohh a pretty tragic season for riverclan. an outbreak of an illness kills four (larchfern, and all of dawnflower's litter, pebblekit, minnowkit, and tumblekit), before willowkit receives a sign from starclan on where to find the herb to cure it.

she is made mothwing's apprentice.

meanwhile, nettlerun and sapstripe become warriors, and feathertail (who's not dead, in case anyone forgot), has another kit, pouncekit.

she takes it better then the first time, all things considered.

Moon 57 in Wolfclan!

Slatenut and Timberbreeze's first litter has become apprentices! Their mentors, some of the clan's youngest founders, couldn't be happier that they're finally getting to teach after so many moons.

Leafbare is tough for the clan, and their plans to stockpile food are thwarted by a mysterious thief. There are still no suspects as to who it could be.

Tensions flare between cats, as more are forced to remain in camp due to bad weather.

Nightingaleback's condition seems to be getting worse, and it's all the medicine cat and her apprentice can do to keep him eating and drinking.

Deepkit takes his place in Starclan, with much struggle.

Lightkit decides to accessorize.

And Alderdapple and Cowpetal seem to be getting close. Could something be brewing there?

Moon 51 in Wolfclan!

It's a litter! Slatenut, the clan's deputy, has given birth to three adorable kits, and her mate Timberbreeze couldn't be prouder. I'm very excited to see what they'll look like when they leave the nursery.

Meanwhile, only one of Crookedneedle's kits passes their assessment and becomes a warrior. Even Honeyfang, her mentor, gives a little smile when Sappaw is renamed Sapstripe, and honored in front of the whole clan. Hopefully her siblings aren't too broken up about it...

And what's this about Pikachupelt and Mottlekit? Are they truly destined for greatness, or was it just a little sunlight through the trees?

Moon 52 in Wolfclan!

Two more of Crookedneedle's kits become warriors, hurrah! Truly, they grow up so fast. One seems to be absent, though. I wonder what she's doing during all this?

The mysterious Icejay has recovered, and seems to want to do most things on his own for now. He won't talk much about where he came from, but maybe with time, he'll start to open up a bit.

Slatenut and Timberbreeze's kits open their eyes, and Doekit has ones of two beautiful different colors! What a rarity!

Cinderpaw opens up about his insecurities during training, and the normally cold Honeyfang offers to help.

All the while, Cloudnose Alderdapple and Cowpetal are still on their quest. I wonder what they're up to right now?
