To Sara Corner,
First things first, I’m terrible at these kind of things. Love? Romance? It’s never really been my forte and why is that? Because I’ve always said that I wanted the first girl I date to be the one I spend the rest of my life with. I used up so much of my time declining every female that came my way, and then used the rest of that time searching, that I didn’t notice that my one true love was around the corner – literally.
It’s quite funny how we met. At Dervish and Banges. I see customers every day, new faces every hour, so I’d like to call it a happy coincidence but that would be an understatement. You’re the love of my life and I wish I could find some moving, flattering thing to say, but unfortunately I can’t. Not because there isn’t anything nice to say about you, it’s the fact that no words can possible describe how much you mean to me.
If you look to your left, you will see a flower in a rather eye watering shade of pink-y red. It's a flower called the Middlemist red. It’s incredible rare; some say there’s only two left in the entire world so don’t ask me who I had to kill to get this; it wasn’t pretty. But I couldn't help but think of you when I bought this because I feel it represents you in so many ways: priceless, beautiful and hard to come by.
I would have delivered this personally, but I was extremely late for work so I’m begging you to come to Diagon Alley and coincidentally pass the shop – I really need to see you. You're a motivation to me and I think one look in enough to help me through the day. Sometimes I wonder what in Merlin’s name I did to deserve someone like you in my life.
