Sara Longwing Butterfly
It was interesting to see this rainforest butterfly at the Reiman Butterfly Wing. The Sara Longwing (Heliconius sara) is found from Mexico to the Amazon Basin.
Like the Monarch-milkweed relationship, this Heliconius larva feeds on passion flower vines which supply toxic compounds which it is immune to, while the adult retains these compounds offering protection from predators.

Hi! They look like longwing butterflies in the genus Heliconius. The center one looks like a Sara longwing, and the other two look like Doris longwings, which can have either blue, red, or orange markings. Both species are native to Central and South America. :)
