Life update, diagnosis, etc.
Hello healthy people!
I'm really sorry that I stopped updating on my workout challenge. Things haven't been the brightest lately. I was going through a very difficult time with school and myself.
In my first post, I wrote about how I have difficulties in committing to anything in my life. I guess this was one of those things. I stumbled upon this blog again and decided to give you guys an update.
I actually have followers! What do you know! Thank you for wishing me luck on my challenge.
Very recently I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I had troubles sleeping, eating, going to classes, waking up, doing laundry, and almost every basic daily living tasks. I was literally on bed for days doing nothing. I didn't have the urge to do anything at all. When people who are close to me asked what is it that I do when I can't sleep. I don't really know the answer. Sometimes days would just pass by and I didn't care for it. Due to this, I had to defer a year of school to get better and get used to my medications.
There's a lot of mixed feelings. I am not sure how I am suppose to feel. Sometimes I just pretend it never happened. It's been almost a month that I have stopped taking my medications. I wasn't really keen on the idea of gaining weight and being sleepy all the time. Plus, my parents aren't big fans of taking those pills. Well, probably because they don't know the whole story.
Well, since I am 21 and an adult, my parents don't really have to know about it. Since I'm broke and meds are expensive, I decided to stop seeing the doctor completely. However, I have been having random breakdowns, I might see her some time this week....
I don't know. I feel like there's a completely different approach that I can take. I don't want to be fixed to a particular set of prescriptions to be better and feel better about myself.
Well, enough rambling. I hope everyone else have a healthy year. Sending positive vibes to y'all.
Love, Sara
