Just binged the first three episodes in one sitting (there was literally no way I could stop) and wow… season 2 already feels phenomenal.
The cinematography has leveled up so much — everything feels more dynamic and cinematic, and that final shot of episode 3? Absolutely iconic, I’m still thinking about it. The entire cast is delivering absolute perfection, every single one of them is spot on. I also love how smoothly it switches between different POVs, it makes the characters feel even richer.
This season is everything. Now the real question is: how the hell am I supposed to survive a whole week waiting for the next episode??
the way tony rants to monica about needing a 'sexual connection' was so interesting considering the 'sexual connections' we have seen him have on (and off) screen have been women who he has power over. all employees. he is always in control.

Taggie getting to know Rupert's kids was so adorable and sweet! I love the gag that Cameron isn't really good with kids, which funny enough I kinda headcannon that for a while lmaoo.
Also, TONY IS THE BABY DADDY!? The actual fuck. that shit took me by surprise but also made me went, "yeah that sounds about right." Something about him in this season is definitely unapologetic and clearly only wants to win for feeling he has an ounce of it to bare in his bones. Yet his paranoia and his undeniable anger issues will rattle him enough for him to lose the plot of his schemes and only want to crash the place. Season one made me feel maybe it stems from his family and even seems to hinted that he had some issues with his father. As well when we see he geniunely was hurt that Cameron had went off with Rupert and show that he did carry some feelings his own (he even tries to take her back in first episode of season two lol) Yet this season makes you see how AWFUL he is (especially how he spoke to Sarah and others) and his filter is GONE!
Rupert is going through major shifts and the fact he resigned from his position AFTER THE ELECTION is diabolical. I never really had any strong feelings of Rupert and if I ever did had always wrapped itself around Taggie. I seen people say they don’t really like how Rupert is acting and especially taking care of Cameron, but you can see that he wants to be good man to stick to his word—just as he stick to his word of protecting Cameron. I really enjoy him this season and the return of his ex wife was just nice touch of detail. That scene with him and Malise is just amazing, summing up how Rupert is realizing his own mistakes and faults harming others, his attitude of not caring is catching up to him. He DOES care. And with the addition of Taggie, he has the goal to be a different man and not wanting to break her. Rupert…you get gold star. I see that character development and I’m sorry for the angst man.
Cameron being the only one to defend Rupert is heartbreaking and her baring her feelings to him as well was AGHH! Girl you deserve better that man is already twisted in his own threads (and the fact he’s very much in love with another)

Monica being in the bigger picture is my favorite since you begin to see Tony’s awful decision making that is driven from his damage ego and pride is now effecting their “marriage”. More for its face value and the fact whatever Tony does also represents her. And that scene where she humbled him. “You make it easy for yourself to beat” EAT HIM UP! And the fact she doesn’t give a fuck less about the rivalry is funny to me (Rupert and her interacting made me giggle)
Bas slowly creeping in to be potential love interest for Taggie. So so excited for what’s to come for those two.
Lizzie is def struggling with the idea of cheating but GIRL PLEASE FREDDIE LOVES YOU! Such a compelling plot line of the show since everyone is barring in some sinful way, Lizzie and Freddie’s feelings are so pure that even their manners of approaching the idea of cheating is unbearable to them.
I feel a lot for Sarah and god I was so right of her being a very significant character in this season, just didn’t expect it to be IN THIS LENGTH. I’m still confused of her and Tony, but it does make sense how that could’ve occurred. Her husband knowing the pregnancy and now losing the one job she was seeking for the longest was ultimately gone. Women in entertainment is no joke, especially being in the 80s and trying to be two times better than the average man.
Maude…just saying I’m not excited where her and Tony’s dynamic is going.
Okay that’s enough my thoughts are scattered and I beginning to lose track lmao. Can’t wait for the next episode.
