Ive missed cfau so I decided on a reread. I remember the first time I felt like there wasn't enough Clarke but on a second read I see much more balance. Also goddamn fuck you for chapter 32. And also please update soon, okay?

It BLOWS MY FUCKING MIND that some of you guys have read this more than once. I struggle to believe anyone has read this just the one time but more than that? Impossible.

For Wila! If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be? (you didnt answer my last one when you did a number prompt so you have to do this one :p)

27. If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?

Someone asked the same thing for Clarke/Parker too so I guess you get both. I think it depends at what age they’re having these hypothetical conversations because for example Lexa technically never met her dad. He died when she was a tiny while he was stationed in the Middle East serving in the Gulf War. She really has no memories of him or knows much about him so she wouldn’t be having a conversation at the actual moment he died BUT if we’re making them adults saying these things it would be different? It’s a tricky question so let’s change it a little. How about if we make it “if 18+ Clarke and Lexa/Wila and Parker could say anything to their parents what would it be?”. Given that by the age of 18 they’d lost ¾ parents it’s still basically the same result but I have better parameters lol. Anyway…here the very basic gist of the conversationa.

Lexa/Wila:

-Mom: “I wish you would’ve loved me more than you loved heroin.”

—

Clarke/Parker:

-Mom: “Thank you for preparing me to be a mom.”

I think they’d both say the same thing to their dads tho:

“Why did you leave? I still needed you.”

I love how you’ve captured Lexa’s pain but sometimes I feel like Clarke’s feelings aren’t as explored as all the other characters. But I also feel like Clarke puts her feelings aside a lot for her family so maybe it’s fitting that we don’t get such an intense glimpse into her emotions and psyche.

Interesting. Quite interesting. I would’ve thought it was pretty fairly balanced between Clarke, Lexa, and Costia but perhaps not. Hmmmmm…maybe I need to reread this whole thing again.

It is so funny to think of Brucas and shipping wars because I dont remember feeling like that watching the show. Im 27 and watched OTH when it was first airing. I didnt think of shows in the sense of shippers. It was like "oh theyre cute together" and then "oh wait theyre cute together", you know? I never pitted either relationship against the other. I just accepted Brucas ending and Leyton happening as a natural progression of the show. It is so weird how different watching TV was back then.

Oh man. That’s probably because you weren’t in the forums/livejournals/whatever. It’s always been the same in terms of in-fighting over what couple is “better” except that in our grandma days there wasnt one single platform where you could see all the drama from every fandom. I’d have to go to different websites for all my fandom shit because each show had their own separate thing. For example, the OTH and the LOST forums were MESSES with the shipper drama between the Leyton/Brucas and the Jate/Skate shippers. The only way it was better is that the whole thing was contained to the forums. No one went to showrunners and made drama, no one bullied actors, no one showed any toxic entitlement to what they wanted to see happen, no one made a fuss outside of our own space. It should’ve stayed that way but…🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Okay, I promise I'm not going to send you a million asks as I read the fic but I know Costia gets a lot of hate but I think her actions make total sense. I just finished the chapter where they are at the cottage and then dropping her off in Boston. Lexa has been really selfish about Jake and Costia is the oldest. She has seen/understood everything that has happened. I actually love that Costia calls Lexa on her bullshit. You're such a good writer. I am so glad I started this.

To be honest, I hope that the people who didn't like Costia at first like her now because I always remembered I kept saying "Just give it time. Developing layers in a character takes a second. She's not just 'brat'." but I wonder if time and new chapters actually changed the minds of those who hated her. Any one of those who disliked Costia at the beginning care to share if they came to love her or still hate her?

I am gonna throw up. The chapter is out but I promised MY DUMB WIFE that I would watch Disney movies with her all day. I am so excited to read it. I'll immediately tell you how I liked it!

Divorce her. It’s the only logical solution I see here.

I'm on mood stabilizers as well and I dont feel like a zombie. Talk to your doctor and tell him this isnt the one for you or that maybe you need to add an antidepressant to the mix. Finding the right meds can be really hard but it is worth it. I'd be curious to know what you're currently taking but the absolute most important thing is to be very honest with your doctor.

The funny thing is that I’m on mood stabilizers, anti-depressants, and sleeping pills. My mood is still all over the place, I’m still depressed, and I still don’t sleep. The only thing that has changed in the past three weeks is that I now do all of those in Zombie Mode lmao
