[Review] Hard Love -by Sara Ney
Hard Love is book 3 in the trophy boyfriends series by Sara Ney.
This latest romantic comedy follows a grumpy hero Trip as he falls literally head over heels for shy goody girl Chandler.
Readers familiar with this series already would remember Trip Wallace as the hot, annoying older brother of “Buzz”/ Trace Wallace from Hard Fall, book 2 in the series. Chandler is also Hollis’ (book 2’s heroine) cousin.
Sara does an great job again at masterfully building romance and hilarity from an unlikely pairing when these protagonists meet at the wedding festivities.
It was honestly so sweet to read how Tripp evolves from think gruff monosyllabic unapproachable hero to this adoring boyfriend. I love how he challenged Chandler, and in doing so acted as the catalyst for her evolution from being a shy modern wallflower to a heroine who can hold her own to him.
Their car scene was hilarious 😂
Apart from being full of great romance, Sara also manages to humanise Tripp and endear readers to an admittedly reluctantly soft side of him as he navigates his way through love/relationships and is guided hilariously by his sassy 15yr old neighbour!
Loyal readers of the series will no doubt love to see old favourites from books 1&2 again, but the best is yet to come I feel with Sara setting up True’s story (Trace & Tripp’s younger sister) at the end!
I legitimately can’t wait for my next dose of Sara Ney’s magic.
