@recollectionblue : "the scanner won't read my card and i can't get back in, so…" current location : silver line's front entrance, 01:34
when she left the building hours ago, she was one of the many who believed the power would be back by the time she decided to return home. she can only stare at the male with a mixed expression of confusion and exasperation, unable to withhold the deep sigh that leaves her body. what an interesting night, that's for sure.
"i don't think my card will work either... but i guess it doesn't hurt to try?" she can only offer him a weak suggestion, though she has a feeling they both know how this will go. she reaches into the pocket of her cardigan, taking out her own key card to attempt to open the front doors. a fruitless idea — seriously — as she knows their cards are basically the same, save for the names printed on the front of them.
to her horror and displeasure, the scanner quickly flashes red.
silently slipping the card back into her pocket, she takes a moment to let reality sink in ; resigned, she turns away from the scanner. there's no point in trying again, and truthfully she doesn't think there are many people inside anyway. "i don't know if you're feeling cold, but i saw someone handing out blankets at the bonfire earlier! it's a bit late now, but hopefully they still have extras..."
