[Translation] Furukawa Makoto’s take a break 01: Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street
T/N: It’s been two years since Makonyan’s KIKI voice journal started, so I finally decided to translate it, but I won’t share all the exclusive photos since you need to get a subscription to see it.
JOURNAL #01 - 04.10.2018
Furukawa Makoto's new series "Furukawa Makoto’s take a break" starts with a leisurely introduction to "what is attracted to you" and "where you want to go"! The first journal of "I want to walk around the mall!" or "I want to eat around!", so we went to Togoshi Ginza mall in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
Furukawa Makoto ● Born September 29th / Born in Kumamoto Prefecture / Spacecraft Entertainment (at that time) / Major appearances were "Hoshi Engi" (Nataku/Nezha), followed by "Touken Ranbu-Hanamaru-" (Ookurikara) and others. The artist debut has been decided by Lantis on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018.
■ Eat and walking around at Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street
Speaking of Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street, croquettes seem to be famous, so first of all, we went to "Katabami seiniku-ten (Katabami Meat Shop)" with the aim of croquettes. Unfortunately it rained, but thanks to the small number of shoppers, we can buy croquettes without lining up. However, it is too late for Furukawa-san to return...?
"I also ordered pork liver! It's freshly fried and delicious! I love liver, so when I see fried liver or fried (in general), I usually buy it. There was a pork liver skewer fried today, so I'll have to eat this! (laughs). It's delicious and big! If "Katabami seiniku-ten" was nearby, I'll stop by every night. The famous croquettes were also delicious."
Furukawa was clinging to the croquette while holding the pig liver on his left hand. "Katabami seiniku-ten" is a popular restaurant where you can line up on holidays.
It was a real pleasure of eating hot food. When he finished eating, he noticed the bakery "Yonetama" with the words "rice flour". Furukawa-san seems to be very interested with rice flour bread.
"I bought a gluten-free Oyaki (Japanese dumpling). For those people who are on a diet, I'm happy to tell you that they specify if it’s gluten or not. It might help you on your diet. I also bought the store's recommended "Togoshi Ginza Croquette Dog"! I bought bread for the number of people (of the shooting staff), so let's eat it together later."
■ It's so much fun to be alive!
Furukawa-san's eyes are glued to the cup noodles called "Yakisoba Bento" as he lined up in the store when he is filling his stomach with croquettes and pork liver, and when the rain goes up, he walks lightly with rice bread in one hand. This is "Otosara Gyoza no Houei" which was the main store in Sapporo.
“Oh, I thought it was a yakisoba bento! It was a dumpling shop. I had gyoza in a cup for walking around, but it was a bit different from the one I always eat. I want rice (laughs)."
The shop's staff served freshly-prepared gyoza, and Furukawa-san, who enjoyed the hotness, "Garlic is really good and delicious!"
"As a souvenir, I bought a boiled manju called "Namara umai buta (Namara tasty pork)". When it is said that it's a meat from Hokkaido, it suddenly feels more delicious."
Furukawa-san walked from one end to the other in the shopping street and enjoyed Togoshi Ginza.
"I thought it was a place I would never get tired of even after a day. This time, there was also the theme of eating and walking, so there were only a limited number of places to stop by, so I'd like to come back in private. Anyway, I'd like to live in the surrounding area and eat dumplings and croquettes every day (laughs). There was also a shrine, so I wanted to pay a visit slowly if it wasn't raining."
