No doubt, in the past few days you’ve seen us share a the news reports about a vest worn by SAR K9 Moxxii, who with her handler Angela Lavergne @recoveryk9.mud.knitting with Search and Rescue Dog Association Victoria (SARDAV) @sar_dog_victoria and the Urban Search and Rescue based at the (CFB) Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt which was stolen from their booth while a local pet expo this past weekend. The support they received from the Police, local news stations and from the community was overwhelming in an effort to try and locate the stolen vest. Yesterday morning we were contacted by a gentleman (who wishes o remain anonymous) who wanted to know if he could send us the cost of one of our vests to replace Moxxii’s missing one. We didn’t tell him at that time be we had already been in contact with Angie and had already fitted Moxxii with one of our MKT vests. So last night we met up with Angie and several members of the SARDAV team to give Moxxii her new vest and a check in the amount paid by our anonymous donor to SARDAV.
