Can you tell us anything about Sarra Snow as of yet? I'm very curious about her already. 👀👀

sarra snow is ramsay’s twin sister. as you can already tell by that first sentence,,,, she did NOT have a pleasant childhood or home life. without giving too much away, she was tormented by her twin for years in a sick and fucked up way. and as insane as ramsay is, he never, purposely, tried to kill his twin because he looks at her like an extension of himself. it’s sick, twisted, and he still uses other forms of torture as part of his little game. long story short, sarra doesn’t have a good time for most of her life.

she comes into the story upon josana’s arrival in winterfell. josana is to be the future lady of winterfell and is in need of a lady in waiting, someone of the north who knows the northern customs and could tend to her needs. most of the other houses in the north didn’t want their daughter to wait on tywin lannister’s pupil and also were a bit butthurt that their own daughters couldn’t marry the heir of winterfell. although a bastard, sarra was eager to escape the horror of the dreadfort and her twin to remain in winterfell by josana’s side.

and my favorite thing about them is their slow build-up friendship. sarra has felt alone all her life. she doesn’t talk much out of fear, doesn’t trust easily, and is so frightened every second of every day. and with her time as josana’s lady in waiting, sarra had finally found a true friend and ally. she trusted josana, would confide in her about her past. though it wouldn’t be much because it’s hard to open up about trauma like that, but it would be enough for sarra to share comfortably. and josana cared for her so much like she would say “at least one northerner aside my husband approves of me” because every one in the north hated her except sarra. hell, even robb strongly disliked her at one point. so they were each other’s sanctuary throughout the war of the five kings.

but because this is asoiaf and i love angst,,,, sarra snow is a tragic character. her story is not a happy one.

Headcanon for Sarra Snow: she is a skilled woodcarver (of course as a Bolton she knows how to use a blade) and Sarra has carved a lion for Josana as a gift.

so the endgame answer is still undetermined because i’m creating my own ending for this particular story that may or may not align with grrm’s future plans for the series. because it’s my own canon at this point, im still trying to figure out which of the characters from the series will be alive by the end. i DO know sarra would be with someone from the reach ( her being in the reach is also important to the story as well ). maybe margaery, but again, i don’t have all the details planned out yet for every single canon character to fully solidify everything. just know that sarra is a lesbian and will end up with a woman. as she should.

i do plan on having some romantic feelings brewing for josana while she’s her lady in waiting and it’s how she slowly comes to terms with her sexuality. it’s definitely a process for her to figure out as she never had the opportunity or safe environment to explore that side of her for many many years as a bastard of roose bolton, but sarra will feel safe for the first time in her life by josana’s side to allow herself to accept her feelings. technically, it’s one sided and sarra wouldn’t realize until wayyy later, BUT if robb wasn’t in the picture, they definitely would’ve been an otp for sure !! 

but we find out more of her sexuality and internal thoughts later on in the story when she eventually has pov chapters. and she will grow from a side character to a main character.
