"I understand that they've all broken extremely serious laws, but think about it for a second- Losing a lasombra puts us more at risk with the tattering Shroud, A singular human witnessing a masquerade breach can be handled, and our late arrival clearly didn't know any better! also, look at them. really look at them."
First vtm session is happening next week B U T i had this one scene idea living in my head rent-free so u know i had to draw it >:) My players are all being put on trial for various crimes, and luci stops them from being killed because he's just that cool epic and awesome >:3c Theres gonna be actual faux screencaps from the session when it happens, but MANNNNNN i just had to draw this idea while it's in the noggin bc AAAAAAA ITS SO COOLLLLLLLLLLLL sarrasine definitely isnt convinced that easily btw.
twink death is a terrifying thing
I've wanted to do a romantic reimagining of Sarrasine for a while now but it feels far less appropriate upon rereading it for the first time in like. literal years. I still think it's somewhat interesting that the perpetrator of violent transmisogyny is unambiguously a disturbed person who gets murdered at the end while Zambinella escapes but she's still portrayed so... pitifully? It makes for a far better commentary on the fetishization of transfems and idk if I'm even equipped to write that.
I think my initial desire came out of a place of disappointment and wanting a better ending but that just feels insulting atp.
[...] are not all human sentiments dissolved thus, by ghastly disillusionment?
Sarrasine by Honore de Balzac
catholic reading of s/z will have jesus be the balzacian narrator who sits in the window recess as transgressive and bodily mediator between the inconciliabilia of the antitheses A (divinity) and B (humanity)
