47. how many unfinished ideas/stories are you working on at the same time?
hehe, it depends on the "season," but it seems that it's now my habit to have anywhere from three to five unfinished things actively going at once. right now, that pile is ridiculous cuz i started a whole bunch of things for a couple different events year that i've been chipping away at... let's see... right now i'm actively working on 1) Naruto Calendar submission; 2) witch!Sasori smut chapter; 3) Watercolored (SasoSai) last chapter; 4) and my original novel project that i'm adding to for NaNoWriMo. on top of that, there's still--on the suuuuper faraway back burner--- 5) Come What May (SasoSan ballet AU); 6) chapter 2 of the katsudon AU (SasoDei, shop owner); 7) whatever the next arc of A Lifetime of Moments is... aaaaaand 8) the smol!Sasori & android!Sasori epic sci-fi adventure!!
god help me i do not need any more new ideas... squints at the approaching SasoDei Week in Feb 2022...
38. do you reread your own stories?
yessss i'm so GLAD you asked this!! because the answer is YES. rather often, actually... some of them are just so nice, and put me in a good mood. a couple that i often revisit are It's Valentine's Day, Stupid (SasoDei), Drawn (SasoSai) and Conquest of Spaces (SasoDei)... wait this list is just gonna end up growing til i've listed them all, isn't it...
17. favorite AU to write
this is another one of those 'favourite child' questions. i have a few. being as unspecific as possible, i like sci-fi AUs, so my top fav is probably the cyberpunk one with Sasori, Konan and Deidara. being more specific, i love the 'rich artist' world of Drawn and Watercolored (SasoSai), and the ballet AU (SasoSan) because i lived and breathed ballet for a good 20 years of my life, and writing the fic lets me relive it, all the pain and glory...

14. easiest character to write
hmmm this is a tough question actually!! i write a lot of sasori, and a lot of deidara, and sometimes/in some settings i find them both really easy to write, but other times i find myself questioning whether i'm doing it right! i even feel this way about my original characters in the original writing i'm working on for nanowrimo...
of the two of my main muses, i think i generally find deidara easier to write than sasori. i see a lot of myself in deidara, and let him act like i would (unlike sasori, who does not behave or react like i would very often!)
maybe the only character i've ever written without questioning whether i was doing it "right" was the main character in what i can only call "my first novel" (not published yet...) i guess because it was the first time i ever wrote anything like that, i just let that character behave "naturally:" he is basically me!
44. do you write linear or do you write future scenes if you feel like it?
i generally try to write linearly, but i definitely also try to follow the inspiration. sometimes that means i need to go back and fill in missing parts. fun fact: an example of this was when i was writing Chapter 4 of Watercolored (SasoSai), i initially skipped to writing a post-sex scene (cuz a lot of fun foreplay had happened already, and the post-sex scene was vivid in my mind) but then i ended up going back and filling in the missing smut!

12. Your favourite work?
that's like asking a mother to choose her favorite child!!! impossible...
for SasoDei, i love this one: Beautiful, Despite Your Flaws. It's Part 13 of my modern AU, A Lifetime of Moments. Dei breaks something very important to Sasori, and you get to see modern AU "Mother" and "Father" in action.
and also there's a special place in my heart for Sasori and Sai as artists in this modern AU: Drawn. This ship took me by surprise, but now i absolutely love them!!!
14. What's your most 'underrated' work?
for sure it's "A Narcissist's Muse"!!! it's always sitting at the bottom of my stats page, but i put a lot of love (and research) into writing this scene of Sasori carving his puppet body 🥺 it's more... artistic and slower paced than my usual fics, but worth reading if you love how much Sasori loves himself...
25. An neglected work you wished you would finish?
this one's easy: android!Sasori and smol!Sasori sci-fi AU!!! i have so many epic ideas for the overall plot, but no time to execute them... 😥 The first four chaps are here: Home.

Watercolored, Chapter 3: Sunset (AO3)
after Sasori's glorious gaff in Chapter 2...
Sasori clicked his tongue and spun away, hands on his hips. “It’s not that. It’s… Dammit, I can’t explain this to you, you won’t understand.”
“Try me,” Sai shot back. “What’s got you so scared? Why are you so afraid of him finding out we’re dating?”
Dating? Something funny clicked in Sasori’s chest, but the words that fell out of his mouth did not pass through his brain:
“Are we dating?”
The question hung in the air; everything else fell away. Time stood still, like the moment between throwing a stone and the inevitable shattering of glass.
Oh. Sai splintered into a trillion little pieces. In the next second, he pulled himself back together.
“Right, of course not,” he said, his expression utterly blank. “Why would I assume something like that?”
... he decides that the only way to fix things is to take Sai out for dinner...
Sasori realized that he needed to make things up to Sai. But how? He had never found himself in quite this position before. The roles had always been reversed when it was Third: Sasori was right, Third was wrong, and there would be no moving on until Third appeased him. What had Third ever done to beg Sasori’s forgiveness?
Then he remembered.
“Sai,” he called before Sai could push open the kitchen door. “I want to take you out to dinner tonight.”
Turning back to face Sasori, Sai blinked sleepily.
“There’s this exclusive restaurant at the top of the Suna TV Tower,” Sasori continued, “It’s tiny, private, and the view is just… You’ll love it. My treat. What do you say?”
