Now about a decade later, I’d moved back to Long Beach, and had a fight with my postcard collection.  Seriously, I don’t recall exactly why, but I remember making the decision to use some of my nicer linen and retro cards for self addressed stamped post cards (mostly for acknowledgement of receipt of manuscripts to theaters and literary agents) out of anger.  Sure, I knew I’d be getting them back, but in much less pristine condition from when I sent them forth, especially once I realized the card stock could go through my inkjet  printer, coming out only a little curled and most often remembering to let them dry and so not getting ink smears too often.    The graphics not only had lots of egomaniacal Rico-references plus my face worked in, but also the names of where I’d sent which play coded into the pulp covers, etc.
