Embrace

By the shore, as our hair waft in the wind and feet sink in the damp cold sand, Eyes set on the sun, which is turning red as it dives into the horizon When shoulders carry no weight and mind works no plan, Aimless stroll in dusk towards the carefree dawn tomorrow When the stars show up and the ocean fills my lungs with its coldness; Right then and there! Your arms will cover me up from behind and end the shivers like a warm blanket. That is the moment I imagine when your embrace will fill the void created by a lifetime of mistakes, where I will feel content and know I've found happiness for myself.

I swear I see it so clear in my head that I can sense it right now around my arms! An end for all the unsettled thoughts and all the strings held on to, As a force beyond my resistance for solitude, to efface the vices that consume me. I don't know who you would turn out to be; a new smile or a familiar laugh? So, I leave it in the hands of the universe to shape my destiny and bring you to me. I will halt my hunt for you and wait for this one moment, to turn around and see your face.

I will know when I see you, I will know it's you, with whom I am meant to be. I will wait for this time to come, I will wait for you, saving a piece of me that has all of me.

Lost & Found

I have always misplaced my belongings Couldn’t find my medicine with my allergies acting up Where are my keys when I’m already running late Earphones - Yeah, I saw them last night but...where? Forgot my wallet at the checkout yesterday Only to walk back an entire block to get it A kind stranger handed my ID in the pub after I lost it and didn’t even notice I walk around my house searching for a lighter With a cigarette in my mouth waiting to kill me It’s a long list of carelessness

I have always misplaced my belongings Yet they are only misplaced - never truly lost I have managed to find them sooner or later They always turn up unexpectedly In places, I am not looking - when I lose hope It has been 2 years and 11 months since I lost you And I have not stopped looking for you ever since I am beginning to feel a little lost myself I think it is time for you to be found

Fool

Have there been times in your life when you did something you’d regret immediately? Something you’d want to erase from your memory for the sheer embarrassment it brings along.

I can recall a handful incidents, with latest being an hour ago.

The desire to turn back the time and undo the foolishness had kept me busy for the past hour wondering all the alternates and follow up actions I’d rather do to make it right by.....right by what?

My honor? Pride? My image as perceived by others? Or just my false nobility?

Why TF did I typecast myself in my own life!!?

careless conversations on this awful Friday sipping my luck in a mourning silence curled up in the armor stranded on the horizon; where demons offer reasons of dying a vessel to hitchhike a lantern for the night but the light shines only for a pirate; flagless and fighting as death dances around raiders and the knights clashing on the island the velvet throne our once forgotten home; by blades forged in ice and rocks from dying stars tolling bells on the tower battle-cry of the war kneeling on my own midst the fallen braves; hailing the victorious the 'heroes' of this age

Who are we, in this grand scheme? Holding to our thoughts Living a dream

A plan of the hour, will witness a decade. But centuries, may take only a second

Who are we, to waste this present? Wrapped in silk this chance so pleasant

At the hour of dusk At the Raven's call Begging the master to Forgive it all

We leave behind our wailing mothers, defeated saviors, our helpless brothers
