13. Will Elide forgive Lorcan? Why or why not? How will it go down? I have a hard time imagining it. I think it’s possible, but Lorcan is going to have to do a lot work. I know a lot of the fandom is like “but he did it for her!” but that’s… not really an excuse, if you were in her shoes. Like someone hurting the fuck out of me and saying it’s for my own good? Which is actually something I’m struggling with personally atm but whatever. No fucking thank you. So yeah anyway, Elide clearly values her ability to be of service to Aelin, she is invested in overthrowing Erawan and helping her new girl Manon (in a friend way y’all, I ship it but I’m not holding out hope), and Lorcan just… shit all over that. Whatever reasons he had, that’s what he did.

I think that Elide is a generous person, can be forgiving, so the potential is definitely there. But Lorcan will need to prove himself, and maybe not in the way everyone thinks. In the vein of many of Maas’s ships, Lorcan’s way of proving himself will not to come by being the conquering hero, saving the day and fixing everyone’s problems, but respecting Elide’s wishes and agency. Letting her take charge and do what she needs and assisting her in that, rather than getting in her way because he thinks he knows better.

40. Will the court of dreams finally discuss Mor’s bisexuality? CAULDRON I HOPE SO. Not a second before she’s ready, of course, but I really need to start seeing some changes in the misogyny and selective homophobia in Prythian. Or just in the Court of Nightmares, I guess, since Helion is out there sexing it up with everyone and no one cares.

What I headcanon is that Rhys doesn’t know but would be like “shrug ok”, Cassian definitely knows and helps her keep it secret until she’s ready, and Azriel suspects but won’t say anything until she does because it’s a convenient cover for his own self-loathing.

And Amren just fucking knows everything and is like “well, whenever that girl is ready I’ll be here…”

Maybe it will come out when Viviane’s sister comes back around. Jeez Louise I hope so.
