I just saw satisfaction MV again , I forgot how beautiful that music video was.

It’s so beautiful, and there was talk when it came out that it was shot for a song off MoM and that was why Zayn was barely in it. I hope Zayn works with Bouha again.

Satisfaction Music Video review

Ok so the video is.... astoundingly beautiful and rich in meaning and symbolism.

It opens with the lines of Flower:Interlude - until the flower of the love does not blossom, the heart will not find peace.

Zayn actually appears only for a few seconds.

The video deals with a young, African couple deeply in love with each other and their blissful life is torn apart by the atrocity of war. He carries her body out of the warzone and is unable to let her go, and in his mind she's richly anoited in gold leaf to honor her and her love.

The best part is the end, where the other lover also passes away in a field. A lotus blossoms over his heart and his soul takes the form of a bird and flies away into the beautiful sunset, signifying that his heart found peace.

The MV is deeply moving and a meditation on war and love and endurance.

I just went on Zayn's official youtube channel and I find it very odd, and maybe even a little sus how dramatic the difference in his video views are. His music videos range from 100M views to over a billion, yet 'Satisfaction' doesn't even have 6.5M, which is crazy low for an artist of his status. The largest and most obvious factor to me is the lack of promo his team gave him when IF dropped and how he was pretty much completely screwed over through all of it (1/2)

(2/2) Like wasn’t the scenes used for ‘Satisfaction’ MV supposed to be for an extended version of 'Flower’ back in 2015? But I can’t help but think that another factor contributing to the small number of views is the fact that Zayn didn’t have a commercial model to serve as eye candy for the world to see in the video either. 'Let me’ has over 100M views and when it came out that it was video of him and some hot skinny model, hetero Zayn got everyone intrigued. Heteronormativity sells.
