Love love love reading the open-ended responses to our yearly library usage survey:
“Library is too cold”
“Library is too hot”
“The air is so dry I can’t stand it for very long. “
“The aid is way too humid.”
“Add floor plan/maps to each floor.”
(Spoiler alert: there’s a giant interactive map + a poster right next to the elevators/stairs on each floor.)
“There needs to be more quiet study spaces.”
“There needs to be more loud, collaborative spaces.”
“I have to look up call numbers for books and find them on the stacks.” That’s…how a library works, my guy. Not sure what the issue is there.
“Increase pay for library staff.”
“Add more librarians.”
(Thanks, y’all 🫡)
“More digital copies!”
“Way too many digital books.”
“Get rid of white/harsh lighting.” Gods, we want that too.
“Feels cursed on every floor except the bottom one” - ok this one made me LAUGH but also which one of my bottom dweller colleagues wrote this 👀
