Miss Victoria.
That was the next name that popped up on her list of people to visit.
As of recently, the spirits had been dubbing her 'Messenger', and her title was in question of whether she was a Spirit of 'Healing/Faith/whatever she was since she had been dubbed so many things' or a Spirit of Messages. Annoyed with this, Airi had retreated into a more remote area for awhile, and in this area, this woman was her next job. What that job was, unfortunately, was not specified, as it usually was. All that was attached with the job mail was a letter.
She better be getting a spot in that mailing squad - Letter Bees they called them from another region in the spirit world - if she was now mailing letters, honestly.
"Ahh." Airi had spotted the girl, but something was wrong. And it had manifested into some sort monster, most likely a mental manifestation. Gritting her teeth, she started running, her hood flying off from her head and unleashing her hair. They called these things, spirit bugs, right? She wasn't paying attention to such things back then, oh how she regretted it now!
"Hey! Spirit bug! Over here!" she shouted.
To say she'd become disenchanted with the flashiness of contemporary living was an ever so tragic understatement. She alone traversed this new land not so bravely with weary eyes darting to and fro and on the verge of tears and a heavy heart that dragged down her feet causing a burning in the very tip of her heel. Every once in a while she'd called. "Heeelo!!" she'd say to a crowd less then forgiving "Heeeeello!" And yet none responded, all too busy with their own lives to care about what seemed to be a school girl perfectly old enough to get home on her own. They were all in their worlds. She of course was not in hers. So to approach a stranger was bold, daring even. And with such an attitude covering her sorrowful state "Excuuuuuuuuuuuse me there!!"

No outside contact.
A direct order sent ever so methodically to her inbox. And fourteen years encased like a pristine doll within government walls was certainly enough to teach one complaisance. Yet, a decisive click came from a pellucid phone that so clearly stated 'SHUTTING DOWN'. With such a large flock of drifters what was she to do after all? Mellifluous and unyielding was the introduction granted to the stranger without the sheer adiposity of enduring and utterly suffocating surveillance. "Agent Sherry Birkin of National Security! You are?"

He feels uncomfortable when he's in the spotlight, when she fixes her eyes on him intently.
It feels terrifying to have her in front of him, observing every bit of him before even bothering to say a small 'hello', but he's used to it; his family was weird, anyway.
His sister is hauntingly beautiful, but people have different ideas of beauty, and to him she looks pretty, cute - but he understands where all his friends (and most people) come from, with her red lipstick and her curly hair and whatnot.
But it's time like these when he wonders if people would actually recognize the woman before him as his dear sister, the same socialite that parties five days a week when she wears her hair wavy, her lipstick wiped off hastily and her walking around the messy house in her underwear without a second thought.
It's home, though, and he's used to it, used to having her walk around in next to nothing with her hair messy and her contacts off. It's his elder sister, after all, and he wonders if there's a problem with him for not actively hating her like nothing else in the world, until he remembers that she's the one that was supporting him all this time, saving whatever that can be saved of the amount of money left to them both by their bankrupt parents.
So he waves off her suspicion about him doing hard drugs and offers her a rare, actually genuine smile in return, the two words lingering silently in the air with no way to present itself with the medium of sound.
"Welcome home."
