#SaturdayThrowback: Did you attend “Foodstock 8” last Sunday?! Sunday, November 6,2022, I covered this bi-annual fundraiser at the Rustic Barn Pub for both RadioRadioX & “The Eastwick Press”. Proceeds & food donations benefitted The Food Pantries For The Capital District. Local bands, Northern Borne, The Tyes, The Hilltown Ramblers, Soul Sky, The Bob Barker Band, & The Mushroom Men performed 6 hours of music for a great cause. According to event organizer, Bob Gamache via Facebook, $1,800.00 dollars was raised. Thank you Mark Emanatian & Bob Gamache for having us cover this for you!! #SaturdayThrowback: Last night (6/17/2022) was the first ever Capital District Digital Listen Up Awards show at Lark Hall. Put on by both RadioRadioX and Mirth Films, this casual music awards show was fun, relaxing, and aimed to return togetherness, fairness, & commaderie amongst bands, solo/duo acts, publications, and creatives who are out there making this 518 scene what it is!! I rocked out to “T.V. Doctors”, “Kyla Silk” & “Iko The Dog”, watched winners receive their awards, & hosts give inspirational speeches!! Ruth Pelham and the late Buck Malen received honorary awards!! I was on an energetic high coming home from the show!! Aliens may have invaded Lark Hall but it’s our music & creative community who will help bring each other up & help us all succeed..!!! Thank you again to both the RadioRadioX team & Mirth Films for teaming up to put on this fun, entertaining, & fair awards show!! Thank you for being awesome!!! Well done!! #SaturdayThrowback: Happy Saturday everyone!! What did you do today?! Last year on this date (10/24/2019) I checked out the beautiful fall foliage at the scenic Cohoes Falls View Park in Cohoes,NY after running errands and meeting up with a friend for lunch. Today (10/24/2020) I ran errands and returned to Windy Hill Orchards East @windyhillorchard_east to listen to a local band that I never heard perform before from Columbia County called “Side Show Willie”! The trio was excellent covering all kinds of classic rock & contemporary rock tunes from “Green Day”, “The Rolling Stones”, “T.Tex”, and even “Bruce Springsteen”!! I hope to check them out again once things settle down with this global pandemic & when live music is fully allowed in NY again!! Happy Saturday!! Enjoy your weekend!
