There's something so funny about how Wolfe employs and entire man to do for him everything that needs to be done outside his house so he can do his job (as well as a number of tasks that need to be done inside his house) and then hires a second man to go out and do many of those same tasks because sometimes he simply doesn't want the first guy to know what he's up to.

I don’t know why it took me so long to look up fic from this series, but I’m so glad I finally did. I absolutely adore these books, and this was a beautiful and brilliantly written exploration of character dynamics I always wished were more developed in the original canon. Just gathering up all my old fic

In case anyone's wondering, my ship is still Queliot, and I'm actually going to be posting another chapter on Monday if I can manage it. Queliot is what I write 90% of the time these days. (The rest is original fic & poetry.) However, I had a hankering to gather up all my old, old fic and put it under my wing <3

So here's another. This one is most likely, as near as I can tell, my first complete, published, deliberately written fanfic (i.e., I wrote some fic before I knew it was a thing! Or was on the internet! It's my juvenalia! XD Mostly I was drawing fanart and fancomics. With no outlet, out in the wilds of Kentucky, no clue anyone else would like it, so I'm blown away rn. Also!! I wrote some Star Trek stories for professional publications that didn't get in. But they weren't specifically created as fic. Whew, longwinged explanation, but basically, this is a tiny thing that has meaning to me. So please be gentle. ALSO. I thought it was lost forever. BUT I FOUND IT AGAIN.

Okay, but if we have Barry Keoghan as Archie Goodwin, who is his Nero Wolfe?

And who is Saul Panzer?

The cast is large and amazing, but I find using Saul Panzer as the third point in the character triangle makes it easier to find the rest of the cast. It's the man who chooses not to work for Wolfe versus the man who does. And once those two and Wolfe are narrowed in, the larger cast is easier to pinpoint.
