I remember someone pointing out that, since monochromes are said to be merely copies, there's a chance that the deltarune save point isn't the actual save point, and is merely a copy, since the original savepoint is yellow.

A random thought came to me. What if the Knight is the one who holds full control over the game's reality? Here me out on this. In the first three chapters, we could only ever access the save points in the dark world, not in the light world. That changed when chapter 4 came in. save points and the reset button can only be accessed by the person with the most determination, and Kris being a human (or a cage with a human soul) would mean they have the most determination in the dark world, which would allow them (and us) the ability to save, reload and reset.

However, at the end of chapter 3, we couldn't access the save point at all. Now it could be because its just because the game isn't programmed to allow us to backtrack and save, but my ass tells me that it's something else.

In Chapter 4, we can access the save points in the light world, which never happened before. This means there was either someone with the same amount of determination as Kris/the soul OR someone has more determination. This suggests that someone is either a monster with really high amounts of DT or they're a human.

Now what does my first sentence have to do with this? Well, let's see now...In Undertale, save points are yellow, while in Deltarune, they're white. The save points in deltarune are monochrome in colour as compared to the ones in Undertale. According to the game, copies are monochrome, which means that there's a chance the DR saves are also copies.

Since we can only gain access of our save points when we get to chapter 4, which is the chapter when the knight is the most active in, it's possible that their presence, or lack thereof, is the reason the save points appeared. This suggests that the Knight has enough determination to surpass ours, and might even have the ability to save.

To summarize:

Copies are monochrome, and the save points in deltarune are monochrome also. Chapter 4 is when we gain access to them in the light world, which is also the chapter when the knight is the most active in, suggesting that it has more DT than Kris or the soul. The Knight having more DT than us means they also have the ability to save, which suggests that they are either a very determined monster or they're a human, but this particular part isn't really relevant. There's a big chance that the Knight is the one with the most control over the game, and that they're stronger than we think.
