your grumpy bf is… clingy?
cloud comes off as rather nonchalant to most, besides those close to him, but it’s still rare to see him show much emotion. you’re one of the only ones who can really pull it from him.
like right now. you weren’t doing anything particularly sultry, just laying in bed in a silk nightgown, bathed in warm lamplight whilst reading a book. a regular night for you.
but when cloud came in after his shower, his eyes widened slightly.
you just looked so… comfortable. and beautiful. and your skin was so smooth, your hair falling perfectly against the pillow… his head was flooded with thoughts of nothing but you.
you glanced up from your book, blinking a few times. “baby..?” your voice is soft. “everything okay?”
“ah- yeah.” cloud murmured, closing the remaining distance between where he stood and the bed. he crawled across the sheets over to you, gently taking your book from your hands and setting it down.
he looked at you with those soft blue eyes, a silent request for attention.
you hum softly, taking the hint, and shifting to accommodate for him. he wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his face in your warm chest, feeling the silk of your nightgown against his skin.
“tired?” you ask softly, a little confused as to his sudden neediness.
“a little.” he muttered into your skin, inhaling your scent like a drug. you wanted to tease him like you usually would for being this clingy, but you didn’t.
you just cradled the back of his head with one hand, fingers sliding through his slightly damp blonde locks.
he reached over you and shut off the bedside lamp, letting out a soft huff into your skin as he pulled you impossibly closer, limbs tangling with yours underneath the sheets.
moments like these were rare with him. he wasn’t a fan of affection, even in private, but when it came to you… he could make exceptions.
